This weekend we officially end financial year 3!
In the interest of transparency we'll publish a run-down on the socials once the numbers are crunched.
Once again an enormous thanks to every one of you who's donated equipment or funds to propel us on this epic journey
🥰

We'd really like to 'up our game' in year 4. If you can help with sponsorship or bulk end-of-service devices, please drop us a line!

We're looking for weekend volunteer collectors across Staffordshire to help out with our TechCycle scheme in collaboration with Staffs County Council.

You'll need an eagle eye for viable equipment, to be able to quickly and visually determine anything salvageable from a container of items dropped in by the public to Household Waste Recycling Centres.

You'll need to be be a driver, ideally located near any HWRC managed by Staffs County Council, and happy to then drop any collected items to our secure storage near M6 J14.

You'll be taking potentially high value items in to your hands, not only monetary but in data too, so we'll need written references of trust and we'll be picky about that, and a background working with I.T. products either through retail or repair is essential.
You'll have no way of testing items there and then, unless you carry a spare PAT meter and UPS of course.

A recent DBS, although not really relevant or imperative, would also be a ray of light.

We'll pay your travel at 50p/mile (and we're keen to talk to new sponsors who might help us out solely with this expense).

We welcome informal applications in the first instance (we prefer a happy "hi team" or any kind of joke about penguins rather than "dear sir/madam"
🙃
) and we'll go from there.

We're over-run with kettle leads and network cables, and most of the peripherals that go with tower units. Our biggest problem at the moment is that we have 100 virtually brand new Dell laptops sitting idle, as they came without chargers.

In just the last few weeks these are the organisations we (you) have helped. They've either used the equipment themselves, or passed it on to an individual or family they had identified as being in digital poverty.
