Shout out to our volunteer tech guy Jack.
Not only has his initiative procured us a surprise bulk donation of laptops, but even then, despite having two day jobs, he has given us his spare time to meticulously refurbish every one of them.
First out of the door is this pair of matching Toshiba laptops, and we'll let you all know where they end up.

One of our eagle eyed volunteers spotted this Facebook post a few days ago.
We got straight in touch, organised the NHS referral, and today we'll be delivering this jazzy HP G6, donated by one of you lovely people and refurbished by our tech guys for free.
We don't do curtains, but we can definitely help this client get online to arrange the other things they will need

Our PAT test adventures episode 2 has racked up almost 1200 views again, making over 2000 for both episodes so far!
To get your name or brand in shot, sponsor us £15 a month, which we'll use to buy the spare parts we need to repair broken gadgets and save them from e-waste
Aside from testing items for our own project, we help out the lovely team at Rehome and Repurpose for Charities in Staffordshire. If you've bought an electrical item from their ebay or facebook, there's a high chance you'll see it being tested in our series

Over the last week we provided another Sea Cadets unit with PC's for their base, and Staffs County Council's children and families team with laptops for their digitally isolated clients.
This takes our total to 815 since we formed in January 2021, near enough one for every day!
We could do two every day, but we need your help to buy the repair parts we can't escape paying for.
We'll always replace damaged, missing or dangerous components as part of our refurbishment process.
Our waiting list is currently 20 laptops long, and we have those in stock but waiting for repair, so we could clear that in a week if we could afford to.
On average, £10 buys a replacement laptop charger, £15 buys a laptop battery, £20 buys a laptop keyboard, and with those being 5 minute fixes and the bulk of our pending repairs and storage woes, we can double our outcomes with your help

Fellow techs! Do you have a tube of thermal paste or a pack of coin cells surplus? Maybe even a spare blank SSD or some RAM? We get through those like sweets and if we can escape buying new it will really help us. Next time you happen to pass a post office, or simply drop in to us....
