There are some really, really sick people out there.
All of these adverts, which are appearing on facebook pages right now, are scams.
In a few weeks they will change their page to advertise something, usually bitcoin deals, by which time they have generated thousands of page shares.
Please beware of comments being turned off, who does that on a legitimate appeal? They'll do this to stop people warning others, and always check the advertiser's profile, as many are recently created.

I've shared these posts not knowing they're scams. Horrible people.

On the fence at the moment, because you should never believe everything facebook says.
We'll wait until there is official information from a recognised agency before we report our losses, as we were, admittedly, involved in supplying equipment to his organisations, and although there is suggestion that some of the equipment was sold on for his own gain, we haven't seen anything concrete as yet.
If his intentions were malicious, he's done a very good job of making things look legitimate from the outset.
If it comes to the crunch, we will rigorously defend our diligence, everything checked out at the time.

Massive thanks to everyone who's donated their unwanted laptops and PC's to our donation points, and to our sponsors and one-off donors for allowing us to buy the replacement parts we needed to make them safe and reliable for years to come.
Our bunch of dedicated volunteer tech guys try their utmost to thoroughly restore your redundant tech back to pristine condition and then pass it straight on, for free, to a myriad of invaluable community projects just like this one.
If you like what we're doing, you can prevent us from ever resting by sending us a virtual coffee at www.ko-fi.com/freeitstafford

In fairness, we've never actually said this anywhere, and our perception of our remit is biased so we'd always assumed it obvious, but now the question has been asked we'd like to clarify this:
We'll never ask for equipment back. If we've gifted an item to you, it is yours to keep, not a loan.
However if you did wish to donate your item back to us if it's no longer needed, we'll happily accept and pass on once more.

Three more of your unwanted desktop PC's installed at Castlechurch Primary school, to furnish their "warm space" internet cafe.
We've provided one Windows 11 and two Windows 10 touch screen PC's with all their peripherals, for public access.
Huge thanks to those of you who have dropped equipment in to us, and to our sponsors and one-off donors for allowing us to buy the parts we needed to make these safe and reliable for years to come

Thanks to you lovely people, over the next few weeks we'll be delivering free equipment to even more schools
πŸ™‚

We've teamed up with the Special Educational Needs co-ordinator who manages equipment requirements in the ST19 area, and we've delivered a second stack of Windows 10 and 11 PC's and laptops today to Penkridge Middle School, with jazzy monitors and all their peripherals.
This partnership will also allow us to reach Princefield and Marshbrook at Penkridge, and St. John's at Bishopswood in the very near future
πŸ™‚

We couldn't do any of this without your kind donations of unwanted gadgets, and the cash we need to bring them up to date and make them safe and reliable for years to come
