Don't judge me. I filled up at BP on Saturday. I was on fumes and 2 places I tried had no diesel. I paid 181.9 as clearly I am paid too much. 90 quid for the full tank. More money than sense.

And then pay through the nose for electricity....

It's a lose-lose for us and a win-win for the corruptment, sorry government.
Agreed. If I could afford an EV I'd already have one, pricing me out of diesel just cuts my driving dramatically. Feels like thats the only solution our gov have to overcrowded roads and pollution, make sure only the rich can do stuff.

Nice to see the price drop over the last few months, but think it could still drop more locally. Filled up on the A75 in Freetown, Dumfries and Galloway for £1.34 for a Ltr of diesel, a bargain and by the number of cars waiting they were doing good business. Interestingly the petrol station was open 24hrs, unmanned with only choice of diesel or petrol and not premium versions, bit like Asda but cheaper.

Given the flammability of what's sold I'm surprised such an establishment can be unmanned.

I normally fill up Wrexham, Wales while visiting parents, it's always 10p cheaper than Stafford

Found a while back that petrol always seemed to be cheaper in North Wales than in Stafford.

40 years ago the petrol station in the village where I lived had a machine that took £10 notes and then dispensed £10 worth of petrol, used at nights when no-one was there. They removed it after people found that it accepted photocopies of £10 notes.
