Fuel Wankers.

I, in my infinite wisdom, am driving to Scotland tomorrow. Imagine my surprise not to be able to get onto asdas forecourt yesterday because it was rammed at 10.30 in the morning.

Is anyone who's been out and about today able to tell me if the masses are still contributing to the self fulfilling prophesy or am I doomed to break down in the Lake District?

Do you mean the MSM wankers as they are the ones that caused this panic and all the others.
If people given the impression that there is going to be a shortage they will of course need to fill the tank for a host of good reasons, even driving to Scotland is a good reason if you need to go.

Can't help you for Stafford as I'm not there this weekend but I can tell you that there are no supply problems on the motorways. Ok it's bloody expensive but in an emergency...

I had hoped and assumed that would be the case. People getting involved in a panic happy to inconvenience themselves and everyone else by blocking the main roads in town but not driving 10 miles up the M6

Tesco was really bad earlier with cars blocking the entrance for traffic arriving from the station direction. Lots of car horns sounding

I read the other day that motorway services will be given priority for fuel supplies.
Saying that , last week as I passed Frankley services, There were signs after the services (rather silly when the HGV's had just passed one with fuel ) saying the next services down had no HGV Fuel .
(had planned to fill up at Frankley on the way down as it had previously been advertising cheaper than our local Shell station, but the price had jumped by 3p a litre there last week. Then got home to find our local Shell garage had also put theirs up even higher  )

We keep ours topped up weekly , and luckily filled up again before all the panic. Hoping it's all died down by the time we go on holiday down South next week :hmm:.

I wonder if that's why there's no sign of my Amazon delivery that I specifically ordered to be delivered today?

Came past Asda around 3pm and all pumps were carless so assuming they are out of fuel too.
