Looks really pretty but how did you grow the big blue plant on the left?Today, I pulled out (most of) the weeds in the accidental flower bed, anything that was up to around the height of the marigolds. From here on, if I've timed it right, they should swamp anybody of smaller stature - it worked very well last year.

Not bad, considering that nothing has been deliberately planted or sown there for the last five years.
