I never did go to any concerts at Bingley Hall. I used to live in Hopton so if the wind was in the right direction I didn't need to. I did play there once myself with the Staffordshire Youth Wind Orchestra and Big Band. Once was enough! It smelt as though the County Show had been there the day before.

When you look at the names that have played there it's a real who's who..

Am I right in thinking ABBA played there as well in the 70s?

Yeah, there's a few missing from the list - maybe it's just the ones they have ticket images for?

Abba, Rolling Stones, Santana, Boston, etc. come to mind.

Rush
Whitesnake
Black Sabbath
Kiss
The Police
Mike Oldfield
Thin Lizzy
Rainbow
Styx

are a few I remember at Bingley Hall. There are probably more but memory fade isn't helping.

Didn't Pink Floyd do a gig there ? ... I was in a bit of a blur in the 70's and early 80's (usually only home on leave, so a bit out of control.) :embarrass:
