My point is that Labour would be no different & as you know are just as corrupt given the chance (unless the rose tinted specs are on)
Plenty of left wing party’s in power around the EU and elsewhere who have much more draconian regs in place & have also been caught out breaking them, that you will not read in the MSM of course especially in that Guardian rag.
I will repeat. The most corrupt government in living memory. The most. But you know, labour would do the same. For transparency Labour lost me as a voter a long time back, but it's a delusion to say that they would be the same as the Tories. Delusion. You could personally guarantee it, but we wouldn't know as idiots keep voting snakes into bite all of us that said we really shouldn't vote snakes in.

If labour would be the same you'll have no problem voting Labour at the next election, if they're all as bad as each other a change can do no harm?

You can't state that first sentence as fact because it's only what you *think*. What Labour would do or have done is a total straw man. Its the Tories who have lied to us all and bled the state dry with their corruption and tax cuts for the rich. There is nothing that redeems them.

I suggest you get out of your echo chamber and have a look at what is actually happening, the things this government are doing in the here and now, and in the past 2 years. No other party comes in to this and you won't get away with trying to deflect from this bunch of charlatans by bringing all sorts of spurious EU things in to the discussion. It won't wash. People are seeing what they are really like, a vacuous immoral bunch of tw*ts who've taken all of us for idiots.

Plenty of non guardian sources with evidence proving what's been going on

I'll start, with actual facts..

This is what pisses me off about the tribalism in many voters. We 100% know exactly how the current lot have acted, we've seen it, and then people excuse it based on their opinion as if that is fact. We have no way of knowing what one of the other lot would have done, all we know is how our lot handled things compared to the rest of the world, and short of trump I can't think of an alleged first world country that has acted worse?

I've got no love for starmer but I can't imagine he'd have performed worse simply because on average everyone else did better!

The UK, England particularly, is a Tory country. People will vote Tory 'because that is right' and they don't need to consider any other details. The right-wing vote is almost completely loyal. The left-wing vote will often seem to put more effort into fighting each other than the real enemy.

There have been two brief periods of slightly left government, late 40s and mid 60s - people today are still living with the benefits of those times, whilst they are systematically dismantled in front of them, but, they have had their benefit from them and, presumably, nobody else should. "New Labour" was just Tory Lite (PPP and all that scammery), which was really the only reason they survived for a while.

Add to that the pathetic 'voting' system, press cartels and the cowed police force and you might as well give up.

The difference being some were in parliament years ago and some are now. It's a big difference!

You use GB news to back up your argument? 🤣😂🤣😂
Typical leftie approach, attack the messenger (in this case Neil Oliver) as he appeared on GB news.
What about what “he said” that you clearly ignore ? ……. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@Raven whilst I understand that the trust Neil Oliver talks about applies to any government, he quite clearly refers to the loss of trust from those in power over the last two years.

I'm at a loss about what you are trying to defend in this thread. Surely you can't be defending the absolutely deplorable and appauling actions of Boris and his staff as they blatantly laugh in our faces, including yours, can you?

Boris and co. have taken us for complete fools and if you're trying to defend them in some way then you're even more of a fool.

I haven't watched Neil Oliver's video so can't comment on the specifics. I haven't watched it as 1. It's GB News and I do not want to contribute a single view to their misinformation and 2. It's Neil Oliver who went from a fairly interesting natural and geographical historian to a swivel eye conspiracy theorist with right wing views. I can not take anyone seriously that wheels out a GB News video as a response to any discussion. For that reason, with regards Raven, I'm out.

Someone I know recently quoted 'Dr Neil Oliver' and I didn't realise they meant the same person. An archaeologist FFS, thats like going to an investment banker for advice on root canal surgery.
