Going through the motions.

Dear Theo

I am due to receive my state pension in early 2022, but saw on the BBC news that there are delays, due to administration issues.

I noticed recently that the Conservatives were able to overturn long-standing processes, for example the Parliamentary Standards Committee review process.

I also noticed that you voted for this landmark decision, in addition to your vote supporting the Environment Bill to allow Water Companies to continue to discharge raw sewage into our rivers. As a Stafford resident, I really do not want to see my flushings floating along the river Sow.

Talking of motions, it would seem that you believe that use of Government Majority gives you the power to change virtually any law or convention to your political advantage, so I would ask that you use this seemingly unfettered power to solve my impending Pension Pay-out issue

Can I also suggest that your honourable friend, Mr Owen Paterson is placed in charge of the Pensions and Environment departments, as clearly he is above the law and able to perform political miracles

For the record, I voted XXXX at the last election.

I await your considered reply

Dear Theo

I note that the disgraced former MP, Owen Patterson, that you supported through the Dame Andrea Leadsom ammendment, has now resigned. Bugger. I had hoped he could have use his financial lobbying influence to influence the process and get my state pension paid on time.

I must admit straight away that I don't have the financial means to satisfy his considerable desires for financial recompense for paid lobbying, however please see if there is anything that can be (nudge nudge) done.

Thie tragic loss of Owen leaves a vacuum in the Conservative cash-for-lobbying ranks, and I wondered if you had any thoughts about promotion?

You would obviously have to abandon your one day a month visits to your constituency, but I can think of no-one better to fly the flag of Conservative fairness. I really want my pension, but I don't know which direction to turn to. Citizens advice gave been useless. So can I take a leaf out of Owen's playbook and ask you to lobby for me?

Please let me me know who to make the cheque payable - Owen, you or the Conservative party?

I imagine James and co are getting a giggle from these, though I doubt they’ll ever see her desk for her to read unless her staff are feeling particularly frustrated with her one day.

Perhaps it needs a ‘Handforth Parish Council’ approach to bring this to her attention : “THEO CLARKE !! READ THE POSTS AND UNDERSTAND THEM !!!”

Funnily enough I found 2 replies from Stafford MPs while clearing out a desk this week, approximately 10 years between them and different MPs but both basically said 'feck off peasant', albeit in many more words and on very nice paper. The one from Lefroy assumed I was some form of cretinous inbred, as his words were like reading a certain subsection of the tabloids. Theo's on the other hand simply ignored my question and told me things it would be obvious I already knew due to the reason I was writing to her.

You could send a hundred of them through the office letterbox?

She’d still not see them though. That would require her being in Stafford

The thing Theo does on her FB page is we can all see the glowing reports of her being awesome posted by some gentlemen that live in Afghanistan, but only the poster and her see other responses. So if I post, others will not see this.

A wise move on her part.

Had her apparently annual photo album through, as it mostly seemed like a photo op album to me rather than a report… not helped by there being a page dedicated to photo ops

Also wasn’t aware of the West Midlands interchange, what is it and why are the four people making up the “Stop The West Midlands Interchange Group” incredibly bothered by it?

My parents will soon live next to the West Midlands Interchange and its where I grew up for many years.

The West Midlands Interchange will destroy the swathes of land in Gailey, Four Ashes and Shareshill and cause the coalescence of these settlements, as well as cause a number of other negative impacts - too many to mention here. Hence why I and many others tried to stop the development.

I work in the development industry so I'm pro development but not this one. I appreciate that I'm likely to be labeled a NIMBY because of my objection to this scheme but its not that. I am aware of a number of sites, some of which are brownfield sites that could accommodate this development. Plus the developer failed to carryout a proper sequential assessment or demonstrate very special circumstances.

There is a lot more than 4 people part of the objection group.

Dear Theo

I noticed that the Conservatives have peerages for sale at £3 Million a pop. Could you please put me down for a Lordship, and treasurer of the party (think I need to jump this hurdle first). As I’ve mentioned, I’m not able to shift the entire trouser-full at this precise moment in time, but I enclose a copy of my Euro Lottery entry, which I hope will suffice whilst we go through the application process (wink wink).

I see that our beloved leader has set an example of mask-less hospital visits. I wonder if you would have a word with security at Stafford General – they don’t appear to have had the no-mask brief, and the ensuing struggle, profanities and physical violence has done nothing for levelling-up here, I can tell you.

I know that empathy with your constituents is always at the very top of your priority list – could you make time (maybe in 2023 or 2024) to drop in to Stafford and let us know, when our A & E will get back to 24 hours. Luckily, patients now bring their own water on admission, so we are saving the NHS huge money on flower vases.

Oh, by the way, any news on the sewage discharges or 2nd jobs? (the 2nd job as MP obvs – lol!)

You’re doing a fantastic job, and for the sake of the party please keep listening and following the whips – they will guide your every thought and vote.

p.s. Is there an application form to be in your next photo-shoot? Can’t seem to find it on the website. Thanks!
