It'll be a new roof well before new windows, but I would love to change them at some point.

Thank you, @Lucy; this could not be more true. Not only do I have a real life outside The Forum, but that life is currently very busy with managing chronic illness, new additions to the family, and all the usual highs and lows that your average Joe/Jolene is party to. Sometimes one can't help but think if it's worth it when it seems you can't do right for doing wrong!

Tis but a fleeting thought, though. ;)

Bet you're not. :)

But just to address this head on, as I know this is one of the more pervasive notions amongst a handful of people: I do not work for any Council, or developer, and am not part of the Freemasons, or any other group that may enjoy "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" privileges. I had never heard of ELM or the name Martin Lennon until they were mentioned in the Rugby Club thread (indeed, I just had to look his name up again whilst writing this as I had forgotten it and nearly wrote Martin Freeman!). I barely know anyone on here, in fact.

I know this won't convince some of you, but frankly I couldn't care less. As Lucy says, this is a thankless, tiring job, and I'm just happy that Stafford Forum is as popular as it now is, nearly 10 years on from me starting it as a bit of a joke with friends because I was living away from Stafford and forever preaching about how much I missed my beloved home town and wanted a way to stay in touch with the community. If a few of you want to believe that I am part of a local conspiracy and treating some people differently than others, you are welcome to - I am just amused that you think Stafford Forum has that kind of reach/influence, and that any such people would even want me as a member of their No Homers Club. :P

Now, please:

So, how's that Gothic Cottage looking?

:stafford:

Hi @Admin

Just a quick question.

How come you took the time to repy to the above forumites and yet not to me or my question? (post number 108).

I tagged you to a post, I apologised for any offence and yet defended my actions.
I also asked a civil question.

You don't have to reply of course, that is your perogative.

There are plenty of people to whom I didn't reply directly, so please don't take it personally, I just wanted to get discussion back on track. This thread has been derailed enough; the main points have been addressed and all discussion should be about Gothic Cottage from this point on. :)

Great drawing!

Anyone know how they're getting on at the gothic cottage? I haven't been that way for a little while.
