Do you know your soprano pipistrelle from your daubentons? Or your noctule from your barbastelle?

You can find all about the fascinating world of bats on a FREE guided walk this Friday evening at Astonfields Balancing Lakes in Stafford.

This is an exciting event as it is the first time a bat walk has been held on this site! The walk is being led by expert Jane Rock from Staffordshire Bat Group and is part of our Wild about Stafford project.

There's no need to book a place, just meet at Drummond Road on Astonfields Industrial Estate in Stafford at 9.30pm on Friday!

For more information on this, or any other of our events, give us a call on 01889 880100.

I must look out my bat detector - an ultrasonic leak detector than the Insulation Lab chucked out because it couldn't be calibrated, and so it wouldn't fit in with the QA system - works beautifully at bat frequencies...

Ooo fab, is it ok to bring children?

They should be safe enough, bats only eat insects.

I imagine that they will meet in the old Schott car park - here.
