Two points of public access/egress as well as "staff exits" in Crabberry st and StMarys and others
I forgot about Crabberry street entrance cos I haven't been that way for some time.

Plus I suppose the place is less of a fire risk with all the water leaks as well.

250,000th poster!
Noticed today there are barriers outside Card Factory. This is placed half way along the window, with buckets catching water from the roof.
I don't remember issues there before.
Didn't the window above fall in? Now replaced with chipboard?

***URGENT CUSTOMER ANNOUNCEMENT***

Due to part of the glass roof atrium in the main area of the mall falling in from the high winds we have had to make the decision to close the centre for the rest of the day.

We apologise for any inconvenience cause but I'm sure you can understand our customers safety is paramount.

Please spread the word.

Chatter in the comments on the post suggest Card Factory is to move to the high street in the near future (possibly to the empty unit next to Smith's / Starbucks)

That would leave The Entertainer, The O2 shop, a jewellers, the fragrance shop and a travel agent left inside.

There was work going on in the old Greenwoods the other day- could be some truth to it. In a bizarre way closing the Guildhall as a shopping centre might just help the high street

Loads of people having to turn around at the church entrance. I used to use that as a cut through. Hardly anyone in the centre now.

As good as it is that they are moving to the high Street the fact it's virtually opposite Clinton's is unfortunate....fight!!!

I think the Guildhall situation sums up Stafford BC to be honest. Oblivious to residents and everyone remaining clueless about what is going on :(

Not sure the council have any rights do they? They can turn down planning permission but what else? We live in a private sector world...

The 'cut-through', from Peccadillos to St Mary's is where Chapel Street used to continue - I wonder if the original planning contained any requirements about continued access?

Or was it Bath Street leading to Albion Place?....

Could be, my pre-devastation street map is too far away to peruse conveniently.

I always felt that the cops caused unnecessary confusion by having the door to Bath Street Police Station situated on the corner.

Almost as much confusion as I caused in there, by remembering where I had really parked my Honda, halfway through reporting it stolen.

Sounds like one of those strange dreams where you wander through a strange mish-mash of all the towns you've ever lived in looking for where you've parked your car or bike. :|
