Have your say on Victoria Park.

Looks very nice, except if coming from Sainsbury direction where you will see grade 2 listed bins overflowing, filthy benches that have never seen any care in years & of course the unkempt grass / riverside / pathway Etc with the occasional supermarket trolly & a push chair in the river.

The bins have grade two listed status?

Indeed, some of them have not been empitied since 1452ad
Correct as that was what I was implying after watching the video about grade 2 this & that shelters so lovingly restored in the park that I now often see housing pot smoking people.

Thank goodness for that. Though I wouldn't put it past some numpty at the council to try to list them and their contents to save money on emptying them.

I hear the tarmac patch repairs in Market Square are currently undergoing the listing process...

Anyone know what quality of care the birds in the aviary receive? A few of the budgies appear to have or have had a scaly face mite infection, I'm just worried they've not been seen to/treated properly though I would hope this is not the case with the park renovations and everything. Probably just me being a worry wart but it's sad to see the deformities this has caused a few of their beaks.
