pay attention crackers..
my dad has a couple of VHS tapes that he wants transferring to DVD.. i know you can buy digitising/capturing/encoding hardware pretty cheaply these days, but i/he can't be arsed with that.. does anyone know a company who offer this service? i've done a bit of googling, and found a couple of places but they all charge through the nose (e.g. £60 for an hour of footage)..
he doesn't need anything fancy (menus, authoring, etc.) - just straight VHS > DVD.. anyone know of anywhere? local would be great, but not essential cos it's not that much hassle to send them off via courier..
