I'd like to have another go at Ben Lawers, but it's a hell of drive from here, and I'm not sure I could hack it anyway. Might have to settle for Stafford, have a look around, nostalgia and all that. (Puts gun in mouth  )
Only joking ..... (ish.) 🤪

6 hours give or take? Can't recommend the climb though, worst bestest thing I ever did! Brutal at points!

Six hours !! ... even though I've got this sign on the back of my car, I doubt I could get to it from Cornwall in six hours, it's about 540 miles from my place. I'm fairly familiar with this mountain, having been weathered off it three times. I've done a lot of mountains in Scotland but this bastard has put me down every time. I think it's got a feeling of inadequacy due to being a few feet short of 4000. :teef::heyhey: ... (also, I did pee on it once, perhaps it's upset about that.) 🤪

I might have gone slightly out of my mind but I've cancelled our trip to Scotland and booked to got to Portugal, flying in to Porto and out of Lisbon 2 weeks later. My gut tells me that herd immunity will be this years approach with covid vacc passports for travelers. Flight to Porto was only 33 quid each, temptation of some sun was too much!

Anyone been? Can you suggest how long to stay in each place. We will get the train between them. Anywhere in between worth a couple of days?

It all happened a bit quick so I haven't done much research, although I knew I wanted to go! It's been on the list for a good while now! I'm so excited :)

I do also have a week in Northumberland in a cottage to walk the coast path and a weeks camping near Llandovery booked to keep my patriotic holiday quota up 😂🏕️🏃

@stoofer34 is an authority on that area, and I'm sure he'll be along with some valuable advice, but he has managed to lock himself out of here - again.
Back now! I have only been going to the Lleyn for 40 years!
The outlaws bought a caravan there in 1980 which eventually became ours 4 or 5 reincarnations later still our favourite place. Both our children grew up there and still go. Do some internet research, Lots of holiday accomodation Houses, Cottages, Glamping etc. With so many attractions available and places to visit . Loads of beautiful beaches, plenty of Golf (if thats your thing) Mountains a few miles away . The coastal areas are reminisant of Cornwall 50 Years ago! (Peace and quiet) if thats your bag?
