Housing development near Acton Hill Lane

An orange planning application document has appeared on some posts near me. It mentions a major development, presumably on fields between Acton Hill Lane and Hazelstrine Lane. Importantly this is listed as a "departure from the local plan"?

I couldn't see any other thread about it.

Seems yet another development on green land and on a side of town that already has to suffer poor links into town. Radford bank and lichfield road are busy enough. With the ex-Police HQ site sold as well that's a good 200-300 more cars on the road in that part of town.

Registered my comments, although no thanks to the site which displayed an error when confirming my email address. I just ignored that and logged in anyway.

I registered my comments when I first had their leaflet through the door , a couple of months ago, with the proposals..... don't suppose my comments will make a blind bit of difference though. (Would have gone to the meeting about it, as the site is right next to me, but was away at the time)

Regardless of the quality of land, there's scope for development on this side of town. It's a desirable place and has been relatively untouched in terms of new builds unlike the North and the Western sides of town.
