You could always see if you could book an 'area' in one of the bars to make it a bit more special and have them put balloons up. Some places will do it for free if there's a group of you. I have done placemats in the past with photos of the bride on from when she was little to the present day which went down really well. (Laminated collage of photos!) Cheap to do.
Got my wedding dress from Renaissance of Newport (not sure if still there)

Good Luck!

You can reserve seating area's in places like Casa for a private party. Personally I wouldn't want to go there, but plenty of folk do. In the past I have blagged a buffet out of some bars if you have enough people turning up.
If most people going are from Stafford for the sake of a mini bus to another place or one of the £10 travelodge rooms to share then I'd probably go elsewhere.

most of the people going have young children so not no one really wants to go out of stafford... the stag night is on the same night aswell, so most of the dads will be out aswell lol. thanks i'll go ask see what casa say!to be honest i haven't actually been out in over two years! so i'm pretty much clueless about wheres good in stafford now. i always loved it in chicargo rock, so after it closed i was pretty gutted, and never went out again! lol

I recently did cocktails in No15, followed by dinner in Pastiche for the hen party I organised - everyone had a lovely time and it wasn't too expensive. Anyone that wanted to go on for more clubbing could...

Also, there's two bridal shops in stafford, Deborah Jane on Mill street and Princess Bride on Marston Rd. I've no idea if they are any good - i brought my wedding dress from the monsoon sale...

RSVP Staffordshire are good, they are next to the Island vets, they don't sell wedding dresses but do everything else

Yes, Rennaissance is still there but not under the same ownership. If you married around five years or more ago then it would have been owned by a very nice lady called Jane who was a really clever buyer and filled the shop with beautiful things. I used to go in towards the end of the sale each year and look for bargains. She sold the shop when she had small children. Since then it has had two or possibly three owners, including a spell when financial difficulties caused much panic among brides.

We got married almost 4 years ago and I can't remember the name of the lady although Jane rings a bell. I had an Ian Stuart dress and there were few stockists in the area thats why I went there. There were beautiful things in there. I was slightly panicked as received a letter saying that I must come in and collect dress early and pay balance as shop was due to close. PANIC not the word but all was ok in the end.
