Woman dies as paramedic refuses to help
Interesting one this. If the paramedic really wasn't allowed to do CPR on her own, WTF was she doing in a fast response position? And if this was honestly the case, and she'd tried to help but the woman died anyway, would the family have complained because an untrained person did the CPR despite not being allowed to? Hard to tell til we hear more, at least this one wasn't in Stafford.

Sounds like there is much more to this. Not casting doubt on drinkers perceptions of things, but we do onnly have there opinion of what happened, which happened at a time when most of them had had some amount of alcohol and were emotionally charged.tek-monkey said:

I think this story raises some disturbing questions and the freinds, family and regulars of this pub are rightly upset and entitiled to a full investigation of the incident. But it also shows how one sided views of a situation can be potentially damaging. In all of this we should remeber we issue stab vests to our emergency services for a reason, such as when they go in to a pub late at night with drunk emotionally charged customers expecting something that may be unreasonable and they have easy access to glasses or other weapons they may be carrying.

I've always found it odd that you have to jump through so many hoops in order to adopt a child, yet you can produce as many do-it-yourself ones as you like without any scrutiny whatsoever ( well, until it's far too late, anyway ). It's rather akin to being allowed to have a shotgun without a licence, as long as you made it yourself in the shed.

Blame the kids, they're little shits who need shooting. Surely if they were excluded from school they should have been reposessed? (or whatever the term is for living property nowadays).
Anyway, sod that. Just saw that Ealing council spent half a mil to clean up a virus. Would love to know what virus, and when it hit. Very rare that up to date AV software wouldn't find it, especially as it was physically transported in so not like they were attacked on launch. In fact, if all it did was spread and await further instructions (and block AV updates) I'm not really sure what damage it could have done? You manually get the updates from a clean laptop then stick them straight on the server, letting the AV server propogate the updates. Worse case you email all users and make them run the patch, where's the prob?
Anyone from Stafford Council, this could be you! Employ me on a little over national average wage and I'll make sure you're ok

I'd be interested in what you think is the problem. I do see your point about blame blame blame but kids will only respond to their immediate environment, and this is almost always going to be the environment provided by the parents. So who do you blame? The parents who don’t care? The society which allows ANYONE to procreate regardless of their social standing, level of education, their ability to actually be a parent and to provide a loving and stable upbringing for their child, who never asked to be born in the first place.basil said:
