very suspicious!!:bananafunk:!
i have been looking at all the other conversations which don't interest me, but i must say.and yes i do use tripadvisor.
If you are looking to "curry favour" with the forum then you are going about it the wrong way.

Nobody logs on to a forum just to post about curry!

So you are actually making The Island look a bit ridiculous.

I cant imagine Chris Lewis behaving the same way.

Went to London House last night, definitely on top of their game at the moment. Very tasty and generous with the meat in my Tandoori Murgh Massala, Mrs T's Tikka main was nicely spiced and really tender.
For some reason I can't find the London House thread.

Need to order a takeway, must deliver. Not had one for a while, any recommendations? What are Spice Delight like lately, used to love them?

I've often joked about the need for another Indian restaurant in Stafford but it looks like the benefit of having so many is that a number are raising the game. They are trying to be different from curry houses. For some people that will be a no no but for a lot of people on the forum its a hidden bonus of Stafford. It's a shame we have not got a Greek/Persian restaurant.

We had a Greek restaurant, it closed down and an Indian restaurant opened in its place. And another Indian restaurant followed that 1. And, the 1 there now is still being a pain in the arse where they park.

Went to the Mela Bar last night - starter and balti were delicious, then went to poste house after for cocktails they were not delicious. I asked for a Manhattan - the guy did not how to make it he had to look it up in a book.. i suspected it may not be right when he asked the other guy where something was. When i sat down to drink it was so disgusting. I took it back, said it was wrong, asked him to make me another cocktail anything that tasted better than the last one and the next one was equally as bad. Not a good experience.

Going out for cocktails is an expensive and special occasion and i expect them to be right when i pay 9.00 for one drink .
When is Revolution coming to Stafford I love their cocktails and they are reasonably priced. We went to revolution in Swansea for cocktails and lunch last year very decadent but lovely and we ate at the one in Newcastle and had two for one priced cocktails - bargain and tasted gorgeous

Some may have noticed that work is proceeding in what was Dilshad, opposite the Grapes. This should be open under new management in mid July, I understand, specialising in thawa-style food, but with many other styles on offer, too.

Went to The Morrisman last night. Food was spot on. Indian style with their own twist. Shame it was full of noisy kids.

9/10 food - 5/10 atmosphere due to kids.

If you don't mind eating in a pub environment it's defo worth a punt.
We'll certainly be back but won't book so as to leave options open.

I understand that there is a Nepalese direction to the menu there.

Weekends* are worth avoiding almost anywhere, I find.
