John Baskeyfield VC.

It has come to my attention that the John Baskeyfield VC School in Stoke has been renamed as the St Nathaniel Academy - as part of its efforts to emerge from "special measures". I'm not the only person that is annoyed by this ( I feel ) ridiculous decision.

If you have lived long enough already the term special measures means asking for a half pint of beer in a pint glasss with barely and inch of ale left in it, and getting it filled right to the top
