Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, jk_hello. As you said yourself, going by the myriad of glowing reports in this thread it seems you were just unlucky!
What are these Stafford points all about and why do I have -2? I should get at least one for living in Stafford and another for Working in Stafford and surely being born in Stafford deserves a point or two???

See this thread for details. They're just a bit of fun, and to be honest not worth even worrying about as they will be completely lost in the transition to Stafford Forum 2.0 (not that they were worth worrying about anyway). ;)

Oh, and to quote a post, just click the Quote link at the bottom-right of the post.

Cheers, I saw in the thread you sent me you gave skill as someone was interested in how the forum works? Surely I now deserve the same? I take point collecting very seriously, I collect points at Sainsburys, Boots and Waterstones.

Might I ask where I can spend my Stafford Forum points?

karma is excellent place to eat - the service is first class and the waiters so willing to help - food tastes fantastic - my only little teeny tiny complaint is that they don't seem to have draft beers - and the bottles are a bit boring - needs a better selection of beer to go with their lovely meals and ice creams that are the best ever

jk_hello sorry to hear about your experience with Karma food, I looked into your complaint as this helps us improve after talking to the staff I was told that you phoned in an complained within 20 minutes the manager took you another naan bread with starter and a bottle of wine. Was that not good enough? You could have just asked for your money back.. we are actually selling due to the distance as we live in B'ham and do not have enough man power to run two businesses. Our Stourbridge branch will still stay open. I can't honestly say how sorry I am to hear your disappointment with the food but this is a wake up call for us too incase staff are lacking quality due to us selling. I have had words with the chef and he is so sorry and said it won't happen again.

We like positive and negative feed backs as this helps us to improve, negative feed back means staff are lacking and this gives us the opportunity to see how we can improve. Even though we are selling I stiil expect staff to provide excellent food and service and if they don't then let us know.

Thanks for that ashi.karma, I must say you did respond in a positive manner. So to clear this up once and for all, we originally ordered a keema naan and when it arrived it was rock hard, completely inedible and only half of it had meat in it. I dare not risk another keema naan so I ordered a garlic one as we already had one of those which was very tasty, the second one however was also inedible, there were massive chunks of raw garlic through it and openly on the top of it, to be honest we thought you were having a laugh making it like that! The starter was delivered as the first starter was a meat samosa and we ordered a vegetable one, however, the bottle of cobra was a nice gesture and my husband very much enjoyed it.

My husband said the delivery guy was very friendly and apologetic and to be fair the guy on the phone was the same.

I am honestly sorry that your business is closing and I hope you have success with your stourbridge branch.

Sorry to hear of Karma's demise. Certainly an inviting and enjoyable venue with cracking food.

Darling,it's the pastry! Just perfect,i'd do same at home but my lot just wouldn't appreciate it. It helps if it's "proper gravy" too. Made with the meat juices and not just gravy granules! x

We went to Karma last weekend and were told that this coming Friday is the last night before new people take over. The existing chef is staying on for a few weeks to assist but after that he will be leaving to work in his brother's restaurant somewhere else.

Hi to all,
Just to let you know that Saturday night is our last night at karma II. This place will be closing for refurbishment for two weeks and the new owners have stated that you will be not disappointed with food and service as they will keep up the good reputation. So please come and try them and give your honest views on the forum as this forum has made karma II known to the public. I will still be reading your views on this and thank you all for your custom over the couple of years.
