As the conservation officer has put the dampeners on having an extension we're going to replace the kitchen. I'd like to have a bit of design advice in rather than just replacing everything in the same place. Has anybody got a recommendation?

Not exactly what you're looking for but IKEA have a really easy to use program that allows you to explore layouts / design kitchens based on your exact measurements.

May be worth a play around see what fits and works well.

People knock IKEA but the majority of our furniture is from there and some of the solutions they’ve come up with for obscure problems are fantastic.

Their kitchen area down in the Wednesbury showroom is dangerous though. You get a lot of ideas for a lot of different designs and suddenly want it all

When we were having a new room in 2012, knocking down walls and going open plan, we had so many kitchen people come round and so many designs but nothing felt special.

We then got Ikon from Penkridge to come round and they were really special.
They really thought outside the box but unfortunately they were so far out of our price range that we couldn’t give them the order (more than double our budget).

M&H did our kitchen in the end, did a lovely job but the aftercare from Paul is second to none.
