Surely when the stafford campus of the staffs uni closes there's gonna be a surplus of rented accommodation in the town?...............

Is that going to be our new tagline?

Stafford - Come to visit your rapist inlaw, stay for the rundown high street!

Not really got that ring to it I feel.....

Hi I'm also looking for a private landlord.
I can afford agency, but I have a large mastiff puppy (well behaved, not a barker, and not destructive), and nowhere will accept large dogs!
My husband an I have references, permanent employement, and can afford it....
the dogs the only problem, but I couldn't bare to get rid of him for the sake of a house!
does anybody know someone with a house and enclosed garden available now???

btw I love Tek-Monkeys post :-D

Thanks

Have you tried asking (even if they say no pets) if they'll accept a pet deposit? Our place originally said no pets but we asked the landlord directly if they'd be willing to if we gave a pet deposit. A bit of back and forth over the exact figure but it worked. =)

£800?!?!?! Admittedly my last place was a bit over 3 years ago, but we had a 3 double bedroom semi with a garden about 40m long backing onto the marshes for £550. Didn't realise things had increased so much.

Our house at newland avenue (3 bed/virtually no garden/but with garage and the interior of the house was very good) was 600/month and we only moved out 14 months ago. Renting is biblically expensive and pretty much unregulated price wise. The market doesn't even seem to have an influence on it either.

They must have facilities. I was at BMW last week looking at their offerings as my company car is due for renewal soon - I said I was only browsing and my employer would almost certainly go via a lease comapny, not a dealer, and I got a coffee whilst chatting nonetheless. When I left they gave me another in a take away cup!

Good service at Knights :D

As somebody peripherally involved with housing student, I have noticed a marked down-turn in numbers seeking accommodation already. In previous years the phone is buzzing for weeks when the list is published - this year, nothing - though, I have managed to hang on to last year's inmates - for now...
