Laying LVT (or laminate I guess)

I don’t believe it’s legal to use plastic hosing for gas full stop…
Apparently if outdoor and covered in concrete it's kind of ignored. Inside a house though, definitely not! Now digging out all the concrete so that I can fit a new copper pipe

I was wrong, it's copper but encased in plastic. Went straight through it though with no pressure at all, didn't think copper got brittle so guessing I was less careful than I thought!

It's buried 3cm deep at one end, 3mm at the end I hit.

Anyone know a good and preferably cheap place for skirting boards? Looking like 3 inches will do, old ones weren't straight so just checking it's OK all round with that.

Several years ago I got some 5m lengths from Howsons (the kitchen place by the tip). Cheaper than anywhere else around but at the time you were supposed to have a trade account, they sorted it by paying cash using a mate’s account. Worth a call it might have changed now.
Stafford is a bit crap for diy other than your B&Q’s & Wickes etc. There’s a newish timber supplier on Trantham Lakes. I can’t remember the name but it’s 3 initials.I haven’t used them but looked at their website a while back & it looks like they do just about everything timber.

P. S. If you’re going to B&Q & you’ve got their card there’s 10% off everything today till Monday

I wanna say Huws Gray is where I’ve seen people get skirting in the past?

You might as well just pop down B&Q for the quantities you need though, unless they really don’t have what you want

B&Q Stafford timber stock levels were pretty low when I’ve been in over the last couple of weeks. Meir Park have a wider range & more stock.
Wickes stock has been fairly low recently but I noticed last Friday they’ve got loads more in. They must have had a complete restock & were refilling the boards while I was there.

Did they need to level the floor to do it? I'm really scratching my head at this one, how to level wood boards that form a high point towards the middle of the room made of concrete (that contains a gas pipe). I could try to raise the rest of the floor to meet it, but then I have a much bigger step. The boards go into joists, but there is concrete between them all. Maybe if I measure the height of the joists rather than use the boards I'll have a better idea.
Yes they did but only in parts
