We are looking for a decent local cattery for Assassin whilst we visit sunnier climes. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Mrs Timmis at Croxton Cattery, we always took our cats there. It's a very clean and comfy 'home' for the time you're away. I wouldn't hesitate take my 2 there if I was goin on holiday. I'm sure there was a thread like this a while ago,and I think a few of us said Mrs Timmis.

Thank you for the suggestions. Assassin now has a holiday home. The worrying thing is that his accommodation has a better rating on Tripadvisor than ours. One thing that was highlighted on contacting the catteries was the difference in customer relations. The person who I spoke to on the phone for the first cattery contacted informed me quite bluntly that there were no spaces available. That was it, no apologies or please keep us in mind for the future. Needless to say I will not be keeping them in mind for the future. The owners of the other catteries I contacted had excellent customer communication skills. The ones that didn't have spaces apologised and wished me a pleasant holiday. I understand that they do this to obtain future custom but at least they try to improve the customer experience. These little differences will make me consider them in future.

Heartbreaking. I haven't taken mine there recently as they've not had space, but I recommend it to a lot of people. It was such a nice place.
