My neighbours cat escaped his pet carrier after leaving Donnachie & Townley Vets on Eastgate Street in Stafford on Friday (10/3/17) morning, he may be trying to make his way back to North End, please keep a look out for him...

Ginge, large Ginger & White Male neutred cat, wearing collar with bell, not chipped - last seen Eastgate Street Stafford.

*Edit. Tagging @dirtboxin as you often seem to have info on missing pets. :)

A new one for you all...
Calling @dirtboxin ......

Found. Does anyone recognise this cat. Minime found it lying in the road, on Stone Road at the junction of Glebe Avenue.

It is injured, very skinny, fur missing from it's back legs, blind and we think deaf too. I can't get it to the vets till tomorrow, so I have it trapped in my downstairs loo as I can't let it in the house with my other cats.

It doesn't look elderly (just thinking I said it was blind & deaf) , it's very small, and doesn't meow. It's eaten 2 pouches of food & some biscuits since we caught it at 3.30pm today.

....the carer says.....'dont leave it at the vets when you get it scanned tomorrow, bring it home, it's not staying there'....

Does anyone have any advice on how to care for a deaf/blind cat ?

It's no trouble (yet) it just sleeps and eats and loves a fuss. It appears to be able to climb & walk about, but bumps into a lot off things and falls off things it climbs.

Aaah was worried about this little one when I saw it on Stag/Stig. Didn't realise it was you that had rescued it and taken home. Well done @littleme .
Hope puss is scanned and gets successfully reunited if gone walkabouts for ages , but as the carer says ...bring it home again if not scanned.

Reminds me of Rupert the ginger & white stray cat that we helped feed , got vets treatment and re-homed to a his new dad.

He's staying with us if he's not chipped, RSPCA have given us a case number, so I'm hoping I can get him scanned, treated for anything then back home with us if there's no chip. I shut our cats upstairs about an hour ago and bright him out of the downstairs loo.....he's sat on me & hasn't moved in nearly an hour.....he's toasty, with a full belly, but no purring and no movement at all. He's only opened his eyes a few times. Hope he makes it through the night. He's painfully thin, tiny, & way more than the pictures show...

I haven't got a facebook account , I use hubbys (rather embarrassing for him when I post something to answer on local forums saying " me & hubby" 😂 )

Our stray 'Rupert' (a team of various people involved in his feeding, capture & rehoming) went from

I don’t know if they still do it but my s-I-l took an injured stray cat to Shires & they treated it free. She took the cat home & no-one claimed it.
(Other vets may do this too)

Donnachie & Townley charged us for some treatment & neutering , chipping etc. Think we got charged a bit cheaper as we had a bit of money left from what some of us had chipped in & we got a voucher from cats protection towards neutering. The extra was used to go towards treating another stray road casualty rushed in that day.
Hope he's pulled through the night @littleme
