So our police and crime (and now fire) commissioner has been tweeting and facebooking advice to stay away from the big moorlands fire as the public will get in the way of the hardworking fire service.

So what does he do? Yep you guessed it, went up to the moorlands fire himself no doubt getting in the way of our hardworking fire service. What a tool he is

Bit surprised his Wikipedia entry doesn't have the usual disclaimers :

Revisiting his Wikipedia page (which read like a personal CV - without the usual Wiki’ disclaimers) I notice it has been severely edited.

I remember the Tories ten years ago suggesting replacing each Police Authority by a Police Commissioner because one elected person would be cheaper than a committee.
And that was about as sensible as what Boris had on the side of his big bus four years ago.

Now there are Police and Crime Panels with the "vital role in challenging, scrutinising and supporting each Police and Crime Commissioner.
Much better was the original Police Authorities.
