More steam anyone? Trains through Stafford.

Saw it go through Creswell. It seemed to be in very light steam (I suspect the diesel loco at the back was doing a lot of the work), possibly because of the risk of lineside fires. I went up to Carlisle last month and my train got halted because of a big lineside fire; funnily enough a steam loco had gone through less than half an hour before my train.
It had plenty of steam on the Worth Valley Railway last month but all the rain 'up North' might reduce the risk of lineside fires.

There was practically no steam at all when in came through Stafford about an hour ago and it wasn't hanging about either.

There was an announcement for passengers who were hoping to get to Scotland that basically said forget it, due to lineside fires.
