Wow, that's beautiful!
I was out on the bike last night and I didn't notice anything, I have to say. All the pictures I've seen just now are from the northwest corner, so I might have seen something from the top of the mountains, but that was a bit too much effort...

Oh and here's me telling off the carer for not looking propperly when he went out for a fag, as they could be seen in Shropshire apparently

I had to traverse this one today, at great personal risk, as the town was being isolated for the parade to occur.

I got through unscathed and was allowed to proceed with caution.

An interesting pedestrian stop on Sunday in Dublin.

The French ambassador pulled in by French cops, in case he caused trouble at the match.

I managed to sneak through another one, on foot this side of the wall.

A truly gigantic funeral, which required a full blockade of the main road through the town.

The local funeral director is highly regarded for his fuss-free perfection and today was no exception, despite the scale of things.

This was all the more remarkable as he was unable to supervise events, due to being the subject of the proceedings.

Today, I became embroiled in one.

This lot arrived, as they'd heard that a load of women were going to come racing at me.

I explained that this, of course, happens to me all the time, but I was grateful for their efforts at protection.

In the end, they veered off at the last second and disappeared into the distance. Probably playing hard-to-get, I suspect.

I had ridden 13km to reach my selected vantage point and I was that knackered by then that I felt that I might not be able to overhaul them anyway, so I just struggled all the way back.
