Moving to Huntington Cannock

It's actually nice to have the poster of a Where should I live? / What's this place like? thread follow it through. The majority never even log on again after starting the ball rolling. Perhaps they view the thread as a visitor, without logging back on, and then abandon it - or perhaps they just don't bother coming back at all..?

If I was deported to Cannock, I would try for the northern edges.

I once 'lived' in Lincolnshire - I am well aware of how far there is to fall.....

There are many positive things about Cannock.

Firstly it's quite a small town so it doesn't take long to travel through to make your escape to somewhere nice.

Secondly, er, um...

Oh yes, I knew there was something. For those with a penchant for wearing their baseball cap the wrong way round and who buy their everyday clothing at Sports Direct, it's the Midlands capital of car cruising. Here those Saxos fizz...
For a bunch of socialists there are some stuck-up comments on this thread. For what it's worth, I've always found Cannock people friendly and sociable. Not something I could say about many Stafford people I've met.

Jeez, dude, lighten up. Mocking thy neighbour has been a 'thing' for centuries at the very least - my money would be on millennia, oh how the Beaker people must've larfed at the uncivilised ways of their newly adopted land.

Now if you'll excuse me, all this talk has made me hungry...

I didn't realise there was a Cannock V Stafford thing!!

In all seriousness there isn't really.

But you know when a child says something funny and everyone laughs so the child says the same thing over and over and over and over....? But you keep laughing because it's a child?

Then you have a situation when an adult says something that is mildly amusing and they keep repeating it over and over and over?

But because they are an adult and should know better, it stops being funny?

But on and on they go with their repetitive tediously unfunny comments?

They don't realise that they stopped being funny ages ago and have become dreadfully boring, not to mention extremely annoying.

I think that's what the Cannock "joke" is.
As in not really funny any more.

Enjoying a drop of red.
