Msn have updated their map facility with Stafford in glorious hi-res and with multiple view points.
It's clearer than Google earth
I think the aerial photos were taken in summer 06

not sure when they were taken...but its before theyd started the groundworks for the house opposite the old dears so it might have been before summer coz they were there last summer.

That really is good...much better than google earth, at least for the basics that i use it for. i've just done a tour of the places i've lived in the UK! Memories eh..

Judging by various road works etc the birdseye views are from late September 2006.

I saw a thing on this on the Gadget Show that said 5 photos were taken at the same time but looking at the position of cars this dosn't seem to be so - and the east view has shadows which show it to be about 1 - 2:00pm.

When on the aerial view, click on the building icon (found on the mini-map, icon that pops up with 'bird's eye view' when your mouse is over it).
You can then click on the N,S,E,W viewpoints to rotate the view

i agree.. i've just checked out my parents' house, and each view has a different configuration of cars parked in the driveway.. one of them even has my car on, which is pretty co-incidental seeing as i'm only ever there a couple of times a year!
