Mundane facts about your day: Part Deux.

Up at 4am starting washing & putting on clothes maids in the conservatory to dry. Feeling so ill and sweating so much I got through all the sheets and duvets covers , nighties etc I owned within a couple of hours and resorted to bath towels as bedding.

Hubby is now sitting down with me this morning actually looking at paperwork , as previously he didn't have a foggiest of what paperwork we have and where it is. Actually realises now that one day I can snuff it!

Was moaning about new GP wanting to give me a health check & tests tomorrow, but now kind of glad I'm going so that hopefully they can check out what's wrong me while there .... (Been taking covid tests twice daily all week , but still saying negative)
Hope you're feeling better soon

Ta @littleme . Felt really ill all week (I blame the Sainsburys worker at the self service checkout who came up looking like death , and decided she was going to stand right in my face and 'help' when I was getting my nectar card out of my card holder, by telling me that I could also keep my receipt and have points added next time if I ever forgot my card. I'd got the bloody thing in my hand and didn't need her hellp. But as I kept backing away she seemed insistant that she had the lurgy so was going to pass it on! )

Had lots of trouble with fluid in middle ear in the past , and seems I've also got that since last night as well as can't hear a bloody thing out of the one aching ear. Kept sounding like a loo flushing in my head during the night, followed by a painful big explosion (had an inner ear op in Stafford old hospital when I was 7 as went completely deaf ...still think of that experience even now when passing where the old SGI site !)

At least it's got hubby a bit interested in what's going on in the house . Think it's brought it home to him that I might not be here forever , after the neighbour that the ambulance was going to and mistakenly came to ours seeing me about to set off to take son to airport at 4am the other week , has died by the look of it. :(

In the meantime I'm making the most of this lovely house .....hubby keeps losing me in it

Change of plan for 40th anniversary celebrations. Saving the Sunday lunch in Paul Pry in town for another time.
Now in The Swan at Whittington village for an extra special meal , and it was bloody lovely.
Bit of a scary drive in a 'drive taxi' here though . Makes sons driving seem calm ! Driver nearly went into the back of 2 cars , whilst doing 70 in a 40 limit messing behind his seat with the Aircon controls.
But got here safely to get to celebrate our 40th.
Just a shame son can't join us , he's away in Budapest.
There's good news about the Paul Pry here

I've been poorly for well over the last month, its been one thing after another & I don't seem to be getting any better.... My anxiety is through the roof too at the moment and nothing seems to help.... I need a week @Glam s place, and some of the good drugs please....

I remember being run down for a couple of months and someone recommended I take Metatone. It really helped me.

Beer, or any other form of alcohol, is not good for you.

Except decent red wine, of course.
And gin. Because its botanical, so it must be good for you.

The Metatone tonic has 2 different types of sugars in, glucose & sucrose, so probably why it's no good for me as I'm diabetic, the Carer swears by it though.... A bit like lucozade I suppose..... (right back to the 70's now with its crinkly orange wrapping & a punnet of grapes when you were poorly)

Enjoying a drop of red.

On the couple of occasions I've needed to use it, Metatone seems to have done the trick. There's always the chance it's a placebo effect I suppose but next time I'm run down it will be where I look first.

My current wife assures me that you are correct about gin.

I've met Alfie the pub dog featured , as he's been welcoming his doggie friends visiting the bar 😍 I like the cosy bar area on the right as you go in , with the fireplace. I seem to be attracted to behind the bar as well though , keep ending up there by mistake coming back from the loos .
