The tap is easily accessible, just furred completely up.
Aaaargh!!! Sods law.....been waiting over a week for this afternoon plumber appointment. Still standing outside dentist , hubby hasn't even gone in yet, and plumber phones...he's turned up early ( I'd told him there's always someone in as hubby works from home.....hubby should have bloody learnt the way by now and driven here himself!)
Leave him there, go home. sort the plumber out (ooooeerrrrmissus) Then go back and get hubby.

I did suggest that and got :blah::blah::blah::blah::blah:......

:heyhey: I'm certainly getting some dishy workmen turning up here. Even the Evrie man delivering son's parcels here the last 2 days is a bit of a dish.:heyhey:

Plumber been . Sorted the pipes out. Need new toilet part as well , been ordered to sort out next week.

Got him to check out the water heating being on , when we couldn't see what was working it as everything has been switched off for weeks. He couldn't see either , even been up in the loft, and no reason our tank and taps should be warm. Got his mate on the phone who knows a it more about heating part of it....he couldn't see either.

Been told we have a heating ghost :o:lol:

If it's still warm when we come back off holiday next week (if we can still go) he'll get his mate to come and look at it as well.

Not sure if we will still be going on holiday on Sunday now. Got up until 2pm Saturday to cancel without losing the money. Hubby is having teeth out on Saturday lunchtime, and putting stitches in with him being on blood thinners to make sure he doesn't bleed to death. So will have to see how he feels and cancel if rough. We might be spending his birthday holiday at home instead.

When Severn Trent man had fixed our massive external burst, he noticed the meter was still going around at rate of 12 litres a day with nothing switched on in house. He said it could be overflowing loo into the cistern, and sure enough late at night when it was really quiet I could hear drips behind the loo panel.
Plumber going to look at that now as well later , as well as fitting new internal stop tap ( won't switch off at all)and slight leak on pipe near to it.
Going to ask him if he knows why our hot tank is still getting hot despite central heating unit being off , emmersion heater switch off , and hot water switch in electric box tripped to off.

If he's non the wiser I shall be back with photos of the complicated looking set up for you nice forumites to hopefully give ideas.
Were you on central news tonight @staffordjas?

Took a walk around the Tamar Dam this morning to see it's underwear has now been revealed by the ever falling water level. The Dam must be a bit embarrassed. :heyhey:
While I was taking this pix on the phone (forgot my camera) a horse fly managed to get his borer into my arm but before I could flick him off thus pulling his arse out through his mouth, he retracted and flew off. I'd swear blind his flight path was wobbly.
"Yes you wee f****r," I shouted at him. "That's what ya get for sucking out chemo impregnated blood." So there is a bit of a silver lining to this shit after all.

What have you gone for?
Well, I didn't want to spend to much, as there's really nothing wrong with my phone apart from it not receiving text messages when it doesn't feel like it.... So I've had a Samsung galaxy a22 5g....the others have iphones but I'm not a fan, even though I love my ipad.... I sooooo think I will regret this..... I've had a Xperia sitting around waiting to be used for the last year, but persevered with my huawei..... & if I could get a new improved huawei, I really would.

I was reading a book earlier which sought to explain how getting a positive result on a HIV test that is 99.99% accurate actually means there is only a 50% chance that you have the illness. This is because 1 in 10,000 will have the virus but 1 in 9,999 will get a false positive due to the limitations of the test, meaning if you test positive you could be either the false positive or the true positive.

Made my head explode but I think I just about understand it! 😫

Just tried to book a taxi for early tomorrow morning, 6.30am, apparently thus is impossible in Stafford, unless you want to pay at least £35.00 🤬🤬🤬
I had to walk down to get my Tesco click & collect once when the car wouldn't start at 6am , as the taxi firm said they didn't start that early. Had to stand there with the bags for when they started at 7.30am and could come and pick me up.

That's why we didn't go into town much at night , as taxis were so hard to get in Stafford. Even ringing for one 2 weeks in advance to get to the station, to go to London this time last year , they were saying they were struggling to get us one.

Beauty of being where we are now, can get one in a couple of minutes to pick us up from home, and queuing up in various places in town to bring us back.
