Another walk from Great Haywood with Bee this morning. She was most intrigued by the man paddling his canoe as he sailed under the bridge.

One of the major differences between Stafford and my current location is the fact that I will meet a red traffic light about once a month here, a somewhat longer interval than might ever happen in Stafford...

However, "The Lads" have been active on the drainage of the road in front of the house today and, despite the fact that they'll be back in the morning for the next stage, they have felt obliged to leave the road clear of unnecessary obstruction overnight, as is the general standard here.

So, I have my own set of lights on the drive now.

Also visible in that view is the 'matrix' in the amber light, giving those stopped a clue as to how long they will be there and whether it's worth stopping the engine.

Just received a whattsapp saying 'Hi mum, It's (sons name) I've lost my phone somewhere and can't find it. Save this number , I'm using this one for now until I've sorted it.
Tried ringing that number and couldn't connect , so tried his usual number in the hope of it ringing somewhere in his house so that he could locate it......... It did ring...He DID answer , still in bed hungover after a big night out on a stag do and not too pleased at being woken:roll:. Message wasn't from him at all ! :hmm:

That's what I thought once I'd rung him , blocked and deleted the number straight away. Wouldn't have got as far as sending the scammers any money anyway .

I do any transferring money to son from my bank to his bank account that I've already got set up VERY CAREFULLY .

I'd like to think my bank would check up on any new transfer payees , even for smaller amounts. (I suppose the scammers are clever and ask for a smaller amount first, and then a larger one....)

My bank checked up that I wasn't being pressurised into paying someone when I went to pay my holiday in June by Bank Transfer (I'd always paid by cheque before , so was first time I'd set the cottage owners details up on my account to pay them the whole amount for the fortnight ). Even then I didn't ring the number which came up on my banking screen for me to verify it at first on my account. I rang the phonebank number that I already knew and went via that route. Took about half an hour that time to convince the bank that I really was me , and I really was paying for a legit holiday. But nice to know it was being checked up on .

Just most annoyed as we were going to go to the pub tonight after the tea I'd just prepared ready to dish up for when hubby got home. Fish in the oven got a bit burnt while I was messing around with the phone . Son pissed off with being disturbed from his sleep. So damped the mood for going out.

Edited ...... now off to the pub for a couple do drinks :pint:

Got 'the call', panicked, got our shiz together and jumped in the car. Just before we reached the motorway we got another call, mission aborted.

Finally got to bed about 00:30, call about an hour later, this time for real. On the ward now...
Fantastic news, hope alls going well!

Enjoying a drop of red.
Just been kicked out, dad's only get to stay for 3 hours, bloody covid :soz:

I can go back when she's in the delivery suite, so could be an hour or 3 days...
Fun times sitting in the car on the car park for a bit then... Hope all goes well :)
