Mundane facts about your day: Part Deux.

Enjoying a drop of red.
Last night I had some weird dreams regarding work.......the Vatican was stopping me putting Nectar points on for a priests beta blockers as it was in front of the Nectar building and they didn't agree with beta blockers......then there was a smelly customer, but no fear, along came a Audry Hepburn lookalike with a long handled bath brush that was covered on olbas oil bubble bath, that she scrubbed our faces with it, causing foam all over the floor, then she tried to climb slippy olbas oil bubblebath stairs!
Any dream with Audrey Hepburn in it has got to be good. Failing that, drink wine.

I had strange dreams of Jamaican people on a bus being catapulted down the aisles when it stopped.
Caught a bus tonight and was talking to a Jamaican lady when I first got on ( with hubby causing a scene with rhe "tap on-tap off device system )
..She must have told the driver which stop she wanted.
Bus stopped....she"d dozed off and a bit of a drama getting her back to get off

😂

How do you know what's a dream and what's real?

F'in p1ssed off !!!!! Just read new water meter after using the very bare minimum for last 10 days. Even using buckets of water butt water to flush the loo lots of the time.
Reading was 7.60 half an hour ago , so 7600 litres used so far . Reading 7.62 after less than half an hour , and still moving with the stop tap under sink switched off . Thought they'd mended the leak , he said there was no movement on the meter after the fix , but the bloody dial thing is still moving round on it. 😭😭😭

PHEW!!!! Had a bit of luck for a change ! Severn Trent turned up 7am to dig for our water leak and been here over 3 hours and still filling the crater in. Found the massive leak was on the pipes under the ground which they :banana:are responsible for . Loads of new pipes and boxes fitted , new meter put in and now no movement on it (was showing losing 576 ltrs a day before) , leak's fixed and we haven't got to find ££££'s which we were dreading.

Taking son out to Millar & Carter for their special offer tonight to celebrate :D
But don't leaks usually come in pairs ?

Looks like the the celebrations were a bit premature. Just hoping it's something else under severn trents side again that needs fixing. Can't understand how the bloke said they'd tested the new meter and there was no movement in it once they'd done the job , but now suddenly there is.
Moving round quicker now than it was before!

I was about to set out to the shop, having run out of drinking chocolate a few days ago - the return of the cold nights has moved its absence up the list of priorities.

Ah, but I suddenly had a thought - there could be a stash in the supplies in the Shed - and there was!

This means that I don't have to break the sequence of not speaking to anybody since Friday night - even the cat has been off-duty for what is a Bank Holiday weekend here.

Been talking to another neighbour whilst checking my meter again , she said her water bills work out about £32 a month and that's using it a lot to wash her cafe's uniforms , towels etc.
She was wondering if someone elses supply is feeding off our meter . Is that possible???? Might throw that thought into tomorrows phone call to ST.
(Could explain why the next door neighbour has only been paying £12 a month for 3 years when they are jet washing their 3 cars weekly , hot tubs etc......:strange: They were all out at work when the new meter was showing no movement when first put in )

They almost certainly didn't fix it properly as to have two separate leeks in such a short period of time would be most unusual.

I’ve got that Monday feeling 😫

It hurt to get out of bed this morning, my house is upside down, I was late for work and I’ve left my lunch at home.

I’ve got an assignment due tomorrow and I spent the weekend staring at a blank screen getting nothing done, is writers block a thing when it comes to academic work?

Why I thought a degree at the wrong end of my thirties, with a full time job, house, kids, business and animals was a good idea I have no clue.

All I know is it’s cost me waaaaay too much money to give up at this point but between the number of hours in a day and my inability to even get started with this latest report I’m not sure how I’m going to get through it. 😟

Got up super early to get hourly meter readings before hubby started in the bathroom.
Moving at a yearly rate of £580 before we even start using any water!
Rang SevernTrent who wanted new serial number as well for records to match up for workmen. Had to get son around as my phone wasn't seeing past the dirty marks over it ( as well as sons camera magically picking up 3 red numbers after the point for the litres instead of my blurred 2 each time).

Being investigated again 14th Feb appointment.

All the last 10 days using buckets from the water butt in the loo , wearing dirty clothes & towels to use washing machine less etc etc to get the fortnight average lower for leakage rebate been in vain! :(

Off to fill a few bowls and buckets to wash the now absolutely filthy car ( made even worse from the spray of clay from them jet washing the road afterwards)...
