Having finished tidying his room up for tonight, it's clear from the debris that his mates have been supplying him, too. There's stuff there that is not available on-site.

Of course, whilst I was slaving away, my guest was busy sunning himself.

I did my usual recipe of "too many chips" tonight, so I cut up the remaining few for the crows and flung them onto the front lawn for their supper. They spotted this immediately and swooped down like a squadron of Stukas. But, I wanted to close the gate, which spooked all but one of them into flying off to maintain a bit of distance until i was gone. The one that remained had a slight limp and a smirk.

Sounds like the sort of woman I aimed for in the 80s.

FFS! Wish we never got the viewing on this house now , just bloody problem after problem. :(

I went back out again after bringing hubby back from his ECG etc. Returned tonight to find out the neighbour has been kicking off about the state of the lawn again to hubby earlier , apparently the stones that were put down by National grid after the water works were done aren't good enough.
(national grid dug bigger holes to the water workers when the mains cable was dug through , so they said they'd organise the filling in.)
They want their garden re-done better or compensation and want water workers details now. I've just bunged a note through with insurance firm contractors number and keeping out of it. Let them sort it.
They just had a muddy churned up lawn on that part prior to our water works being done, from parking their cars on it. They've got a lorry load of nice stones laid down for them to park on now . Seems they are just after compensation to pay for the driveway extension they had already planned before the water saga.

There will be a photo somewhere that will soon shut them up I’m sure

You don’t try and fiddle an insurer, they’re a lot better at extracting money out of people.

On a better note , after zumba tomorrow morning a few of us are going to Croome Hall . And as the one girls hubby is a volunteer there he can get me in free :D as I'm no longer a National trust member (but he has one free guest pass).

I thought they said Crewe Hall at first...... I was planning on stocking up with my north staffs oatcakes while up there 😂

Not your problem, insurers will sort it. What does Google maps show on street view?

Plus I'm sure they take photos before they start work?

Just got Streetview from before we moved in , and lawn rather brown even then....

Our lawn is still nice and green , which is probably pissing them off even more .

After a good workout at Zumba , had a lovely day out at Croome Hall with some new mates I've made through Zumba. Even though we were strolling around the grounds in the pouring rain , as well as looking around the house itself , it was lovely to get out and do something.
Hot chocolate in the cafe when we arrived, meal in the cafe before we left , and a mooch around the shop meant I just had to buy an expensive bar of chocolate to treat hubby (and managed to not eat my half before we got home, although it was in the pocket of my wet coat which was in the boot of the car so I couldn't get at it 😂 ).....hubby's slogging away while I'm spending the money :D

Away in the Motorhome to my regular haunt of St Anne’s. Let my new dog have a run around on the beach yesterday evening and happy to report she didn’t come running back to me with a jellyfish in her mouth.
New dog??? When did you get her? Have I missed a post and photo?

I haven’t mentioned her Glam. When Minnie died I said that it. No more, the heartbreak is too much. Then sat working from home all day looking at the place her bed used to be I decided on getting a new one, so now I have Dolly the cockapoo.

Sat here this morning(4.30am), just watching Youtube vids, when I saw a flash of white outside, it was a fox. The first one I've seen since the new road was built. As I said to @gilbert grape elsewhere - We used to see loads outside here. Foxes, Badgers, even the odd Rabbit, I think a family of Rabbits had made their home in one of the sleeper beds across the way here. Sadly all gone now.
All in the name of progress..
