Today’s walkies was to Aqualate Mere nature reserve in between heavy rain showers.

Didn’t see a single person or even hear a car from the A518 and really enjoyed the complete tranquility for an hour or so.

Didn’t quite make it to the mere because Bee legs were getting tired but she managed nearly 2 miles.

Be warned, that this walk in the late spring and summer can result in multiple, nasty insect bites.

Off to Smyth's in Telford today without the grandson and heir. Then the last remaining tree will go up, with the grandson and heir. 3 Christmas trees went up yesterday, you would think we live in a bloody mansion.

Quite a bit here (forgot to do the bin lid measurements before shovelling it all off , as it was too heavy to open. Looked about 2" on it though) . Light scattering when I looked out at 4am , but white over by 6am.

Son is always joking that I jinx the weather , as everytime I have a click & collect it snows......guess who's got a click & collect today!

After shovelling the snow off the driveway to get the car out of the garage , drove gingerly out of the estate expecting it to be the same everywhere. Donned my running shoes for more grip , so looking very elegant (not) in running shoes and best coat to collect my order. Got to the town and hardly any snow about. Amazing what a difference there is in a couple of miles.

Everyone else I was supposed to meet in Birmingham had their trains cancelled so at home I have stayed. Very depressing when plans are cancelled.

Has anyone checked if the tree in the square stayed upright ?
Not today , but yesterday afternoon it was being attended to as I walked past . I heard a comment from workman to someone asking what he was doing.." It's all wonky , I'm putting it right" (wasn't sure whether he meant the tree or lights.)

Jr and I rode to and from the match today on the Zero. On the plus side we were home 25 minutes after we stepped out of the stadium. On the minus side it was fffffffffffffffffecking freezing.

Coming down thick and fast again here. :( Glad I cleared the driveway yesterday , but can see me having to re-do it again tomorrow before hubby goes to work . (And it's me who has to get out there with the snow shovel , as hubby can't do it with his heart condition....)

Have to clear it by the garage as it slopes down and sideways towards the house, as we found out to our horror one icy morning years ago. Hubby backed it out of the garage and started to come back inside for his work bag.....mad panic as the car started sliding towards the house wall lol )
