I met some German tourists today.

The horse was local and was not going to let them go too far astray.

Having had a hard day, I decided to take a leisurely cycle out to the second pub, on the basis that it would be a quiet night there. On the way there, into the glare of the sunset, I noticed a cat sauntering up the road in front of me. I often see such a thing, but this cat was not known to me, being on the big side and a mid/dark brown colour. As I got closer, I could see that it was actually a dog, a large Jack Russell sized thing, but still an unfamiliar character along that road.

Getting even closer, I could see that he had a rather bushier tail than a general dog might have. At this point, Mr Fox stepped off the road into a field entrance, to make way for me to go past. I stopped and we had a brief discussion. I made a slow effort to extract the camera from my pocket, but he wasn't fully confident with that behaviour and decided to saunter off into the field, to continue his pest-control activities.

When I got to the pub, it was quietish, but got steadily more and more packed. There was another 'trad session', but with rather less youthful personnel than last week, and silage boys kept arriving steadily through the evening.

Seems my stock up of North Staffs oatcakes , after their one-off surprise appearance down here the other week, wasn't enough to get them on Tesco's shelves again.

I've had an excellent day out at a 'stately home', with associated air show.

One of the planes that turned up was this, which I first saw sixty years ago.

It is the actual plane, not merely another painted up as a replica.

The estate has changed hands a few times in recent years, but is now owned by some lads who made buckets of money on some internet thing and really do now how to spend it competently. I was last in there in 1976, when it was still in the hereditary line and things are being restored excellently.

The place is full of marvellous trees.

@ATJ will know where it is.

Saved a bus load of 30+ Welsh race goers a very long walk.😂

They'd been in the same pub as us in town after the 'Ladies day' races. Got on the last bus home with us. Suddenly announced " this looks familiar territory" as the ''party' bus reached the first island with trees and pressed the stop button. One commented they couldn't actually see the Premier Inn as they were all about to disembark...

We stopped them getting off as the bus still had about another 10 minutes bus ride to go to their hotel destination. Ended up pressing the stop button for them at the appropriate time as they had no idea where they were staying out in the countryside , and bus driver wasn't being helpful.(He'd have let them be driven back into town again!)

Maybe the bus driver wanted thirty "ladies" back into town again.

Have been to Barmouth and Harlech with the once favourire nephew today. Once favourite because he has had me walking for miles.
We pulled up at the car park the sat nav recommended to him, this was at the top of a very steep hill. Then we walked down what is known as the steepest road in the world. Followed by a walk down some seriously steep steps. We then had to walk gawd knows how far to reach the beach. Over a golf course and through the dunes. Beach was beautiful, can't fault it. Lovely and clean, even the weather has been perfect.
Brought half the sand from the dunes home in my trainers n all.

After a couple of hours, we decided we'd go and get sumat eat at Barmouth. It was then I realised I'd have repeat the walk there, but backwards. At this point. I had lost all feeling in the tops of me legs. He must be 6ft 4''+, I'm only 5ft 6-7'' on a good day, my legs are tiny compared to his.

All good, we got to Barmouth, struggled get parking, eventually found a space on the front there, the machine was out of order and you had to either download the app, or ring 'em up. We had no signal either of us, so I rang, work that 1 out!
It took 20 mins to get the car registered, wasn't even my car, so I'll have do it all again for my Bob.
I did get upset at the sight of all the dogs walking along the pavements in the heat. Poor things, it's been roasting and their poor paws must have got burnt.
So much flesh on show, it was like a meat market.

Can hardly walk today. He's still the once favourite nephew. Managed waddle my way to Nationwide, then up the High St, past the building site.
Toddled around Sainsbugs then home. Took at least twice as long as normal, I'm so unfit and obviously very fat.
Have work tonight, not looking forward to it.

Wasn't that unnecessarily awkward ?
I'd have turned round !

Ended up accidentally leading the Zumba class today 🤪:embarrass: . Somehow ended up beside the instructor facing the class in a lapse of concentration. She told me to carry on and stay there 😂

Getting ready for the full on super dooper faster pace class on wednesday night in a new place that I'm trying out for free to see if I can keep up. ....

This weight had better drop off after all this exercise !.....4 zumba classes this week , plus a hard aqua zumba session tomorrow night , in addition to the hours walking group from the Country Park tomorrow, which me and my mates are walking about 50 minute walk each way to it as well.

As fast as I went to walk up the sand dunes, I came back down again, there was no grip, sand was so fine. Then the steps. I must've looked a right sight, taking each one then having to rest, not for long mind, just being careful. There was a seat halfway up the steep street, parked my bum for a few, the Gazelle that is still not the favourite nephew, well, he bounded off and went and bought his poor old Favourite Aunt a Magnum Caramel icecream and ice cold bottle of water. (you should see the competition for Aunties, sod all)
I do love him really, just not telling him yet......
