Went into a travel agents whilst in town to suss out holiday ideas. Then spent over an hour on the phone to get annual travel insurance to cover for all our medical conditions . Luckily heart nurse and cardiologist gave us a written letter with all hubbys conditions and treatments , and their go-ahead to go on holiday abroad shorthaul. Still stressful hoping I haven't missed anything which would invalidate any claims.....

Now just the 3 germans to battle with to get hubby the holidays he wants off, as they have to cover his work between them ...

If he does the work of three Germans I'm surprised they let him have any time off.

Well , hubby can't have hols he requested .Boss suggested October dates which clash with his hospital 2 day monitoring appt. So planned hols abroad had to be shelved 😭

Nice to dream for a few days ! Got full refund on insurance we were so happy to finally get accepted for though.

Photos?! Preferably with a cat in clear view - Thank you x
I could have provided a photo of 'my' cat in the bath.

But, for several reasons, this wasn't possible.

1, I was probably asleep.

2, I wouldn't have wanted to intrude on her privacy.

3, It wouldn't have been very photogenic.

At least it was in the bath.

We're blaming the mouse...

Well.....holidays abroad this year don't seem to be getting off the ground! 😭

Hubbys works agreed earlier weeks than he originally wanted now (also later in October which clashes with his hospital so that's out).

Previous insurer willing to insure us no longer insuring us. Found out from heart nurse the answers to what meds were actually 'doing' , different to what I previous told them. An hour on the phone later to LV (our original hol ins providers for years ) found they'd only insure me for medical cover, not hubby.

All Clear were willing to cover us both on Tues. Hubby has to 'think about it and do it tomorrow"....... so all excited ready to take out insurance yesterday when they open and book holiday...

So yesterday morning , he makes a same day appointment with GP to get antibiotics for chest infection that's lingering on for a fortnight. So plan is, I go to town with him, and while he's in doctors I go to travel agent and get details to discuss over brekkie out. Then back home to take out insurance and arrange a holiday. I'm out of travel agents first , armed with dates , airports and hotel choices. Pop into M&S and stock up on summer holiday clothes before the autumn stock takes over....

Hubby joins me for breakfast , together with his antibiotics..........then drops the bombshell........GP sending him for chest X-Rays at hospital sometime soon (better not come through for when we are going away to Paignton next week !) , so got to wait for appointment and whilst waiting for X-ray and results he is 'Under Investigation' . So now All Clear won't let us take out insurance whilst waiting for results of an investigation. AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!:mad::grr:

I've started packing this morning for Paignton........if the xray appt comes through during that week he'll just have to bloody change it!

I notice the Isobel Trail is getting ever narrower because the sides have not been trimmed back, The council used to do this..
Another cost cut maybe, Now as I ride along it, many areas are reduced to singe track so when i pass anyone I have to brush past nettles [in my shorts.] ouch curse..

Mmmm, probably too big a job to expect Martin to do (?) Though it would be great fun clearing the Trail with one of those military style flamethrowers - like the one Leonardo DiCaprio used in ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’.

Caught a bus to town for a drink. Bus driver must have either been new and lost , or been daydreaming & forgotten he was driving a bus and was on his way home 🤣. Magical mystery tour before he doubled back to get on the route.. Best of it was , there were 6 others on the bus as well , but not one of us asked him where he was going.🤣
