What's a grounding mat?Ohh yes, in other news, I received delivery of a grounding mat... anyone else used one? Or grounding sheets?
It's supposed to.... "enhance the depth and length of sleep, reduce pain, and reduce stress. One of the first studies on this came out in 2004 and found that grounding improved sleep and reduced cortisol levels, a stress hormone."What's a grounding mat?
He doesn't speak, can tell he understands a lot more than he lets on but to all intent and purposes you can't talk to him either, however leave him near a remote control and he's figured it out in minutes. He can jump between apps and find programs he wants, he loves whales for some reason. Leave your phone lying around and he'll face unlock it slyly then run off to play with it, he's great with all technology TBH, it's quite scary.Kids today, too clever by half.
TBF neither of his parents are really normal, things just weren't diagnosed in our day, not sure the poor lad had a chance!Normal is an overrated label. The world works due to those of us who aren't normal.
If I'd have lived nearby he could have earned himself some extra pocket money working my phone and laptop for me (or sit him in my car to play with my dashboard displays for me , you need to be good at technology to get into the computerised handbook to see how everything worksHe doesn't speak, can tell he understands a lot more than he lets on but to all intent and purposes you can't talk to him either, however leave him near a remote control and he's figured it out in minutes. This all does of course point to a probable diagnosis but he's only 3, and our system can take a while to identify issues. It is what it is, he's a happy child which I feel matters most.
I think this is the only reason we have kids, & grand kids, ...to do the *technology. If I'd have lived nearby he could have earned himself some extra pocket money working my phone and laptop for me (or sit him in my car to play with my dashboard displays for me , you need to be good at technology to get into the computerised handbook to see how everything works. He'd soon be discovering the obvious things that I've yet to find after 4 months!)
Years ago we bought a Megadrive from Dixons in Rugeley. Took 4 consoles back to the shop as each one "wasn't working''. Final time in desperation we drove to my bosses house with the latest replacement instead , picked up his 7 year old son and took him to our house to see if he could set it up successfully........ he just rammed the game into the slot harder for us and it worked.
Sounds Eric and the dogs have a great understanding of each other![]()
Youngest loves those, but only when they're lower price with the Nectar Card!Emmantal baby bell is quite nice, who knew!?
I did that today as well.(Took longer than expected though as , with hubby being told by doc yesterday that he's seriously got to watch his sugar levels, been reading the packaging on everything as well. )Had a kitchen Spring clean/ sort out today.
Emptied every single cupboard and drawer, cleaned it, sorted out what was surplus to requirements and put the stuff back in.
I did ponder the eternal crumb mystery. If you take a clean item out of cupboard drawer, then put a clean item back, how do the crumbs get in?
