Not sure what I've done to myself at work today, but I'm home and every single joint and muscle is aching, back, knees, arms, legs, feet are killing and my head may explode.... The lot! Roll on bed time.....

Long day today. Early get up to drive to Newcastle for the match, then drive to Sheffield where we are spending Sunday and Monday watching the snooker final. 354 miles on one tank full! Well impressed with that.

Car now charging up overnight in the car park, The current Mrs p and I having a cocktail in the bar waiting for jr to finish doing a spot of revision before we go to dinner.

What a shame normality hasn't resumed after COVID, like Loony Tunes keeps proclaiming. Life's so boring with nothing to do...

I've been to your place of work twice in the last week and was trying to find you. Were you on the self service yesterday evening wearing a body cam?

Damn, I should have said hello.
Actually, thinking about it, I probably wasn't... I was host (supervisor) on Friday night, so not on self scan (but I could have been covering a break) , so if it was a blonde with a Bob that wasn't me, if I had dark curly hair it wasn't me, if I had unruly mid brown long hair and a high viz on..... Then it was me..... 🤣🤣🤣😁

*hi!

Erm I thought the person had redish hair but maybe not. I was talking to someone for ages and I kept thinking this person was walking past to tell us off!

I'm running out of things to do with one arm and a half working hand. Clicking my mouse buttons more than every now and then is now painful so playing my pc games is limited. As much as I love documentaries I'm getting a bit bored of them, even my beloved films are losing their appeal. Basically I'm BORED and I'll admit sulking 'cause I can't do what I want to do.

Lack of sleep has made my brain a bit fuddled. I went bowling over Sainsburys this morning, only to get halfway over the bridge, to remember it's a Bank Holiday! Had ring the youngest and ask him what time it opened. Didn't want go back home, neighbours think I'm barmy enough as it is. Luckily I only had 10 minutes till opening, so stood watching the wildlife on the River Sow for a bit.

The thing about the snooker is that it is a totally relaxing time. Play doesn't start until 1pm, so you can have a late breakfast and a mooch about before you go. The staff at the Crucible are all friendly and focused on customer service, so everything is great there (our Gatehouse could learn what proper management is about from this place) and you spend most of the day sat in reasonable comfort watching a game, with a break for a pint and a chat with people at half time. A mooch back to the hotel for an early evening meal and then repeat the process again. It's a hard life...

Sadly, I just couldn't fit a pigeon into my budgy smugglers to bring into the venue for added merriment and I suspect the illegal refugee from the other day is now stewing nicely in a pot somewhere.

Shitty week sorry I hadn't looked. I've no idea what's up with it. I wish I did as I'd be sure to avoid doing it again. It started with my shoulder, before Xmas and has spread into my upper arm. I now get ripping tearing pains if I try to use it other than from the wrist down and that is getting harder. Every now and then it will go into spasm and that is no fun! Going to the loo is a nightmare (I can't reach) without it leaving me sobbing. I can't shower or wash by myself now as I can't reach the top of my head effectively with one hand and can't reach under my left armpit. I can't lift the bloomin thing more than chest height. Took a month to get into see the Dr, who has no idea and wanted a scan done, scan was supposed to be last Thursday but the sonographer caught Covid so they had to cancel. I'm back to waiting. Each week I loose a bit more mobility and gain a bit more pain. Trying to keep what's left of it moving and use it all a bit. Small shrieks through the house or language that is becoming increasingly colourful and creative will give it away to the rest of the house what I'm doing. On the plus I don't have to wash up anymore. I'm a bit fed up.
