Shitty week sorry I hadn't looked. I've no idea what's up with it. I wish I did as I'd be sure to avoid doing it again. It started with my shoulder, before Xmas and has spread into my upper arm. I now get ripping tearing pains if I try to use it other than from the wrist down and that is getting harder. Every now and then it will go into spasm and that is no fun! Going to the loo is a nightmare (I can't reach) without it leaving me sobbing. I can't shower or wash by myself now as I can't reach the top of my head effectively with one hand and can't reach under my left armpit. I can't lift the bloomin thing more than chest height. Took a month to get into see the Dr, who has no idea and wanted a scan done, scan was supposed to be last Thursday but the sonographer caught Covid so they had to cancel. I'm back to waiting. Each week I loose a bit more mobility and gain a bit more pain. Trying to keep what's left of it moving and use it all a bit. Small shrieks through the house or language that is becoming increasingly colourful and creative will give it away to the rest of the house what I'm doing. On the plus I don't have to wash up anymore. I'm a bit fed up.

Weirdly (for someone working in retail) I've managed to snag a 3 day holiday over Bank Holiday, yesterday I ached like billy-o so did nothing all day and was in bed by 9.30pm, today I caught up on yesterday's jobs, and pottered in the garden not doing much.... No idea what I'm doing tomorrow but its been nice to have a break, although I do feel slightly guilty at doing nothing at all when everyone else seems to be out & about!

A day that started off good , made even better by the confirmation from hubbys works that he can definitely work from home when we move, soon turned into a shitty day . Just one shirty person on the phone , for no reason at all as I'd only phoned to give them what I thought was a good and needed info update (whilst paying them to give me updates which they aren't doing! ) has got me so upset by their attitude that the rest of the day has been ruined.
Decided I'll keep any important info I find out to myself in future !!! If they want to be kept in the loop they can work for their money and find it out themselves.

Today I got nuked again. You drive 60 miles to Exeter, get injected with weapons grade plutonium, wait two hours drinking lots of fluids as told, then get put into a machine that makes a Dalek look like Mother Theresa and scanned, which takes the best part of hour and you're wondering which will go off first, your bladder or the f****** plutonium ....
Then you drive back to find the chip shop and the chinese are both closed.

THERE WILL BE BLOOD !!!:eek::grr::grr:😱😱

I seem to remember a while ago a few posts regarding weighted blankets.
If anyone is interested in such things there are some in the middle of Lidl. 1.5 tog, didn't notice the price unfortunately.

Just a thought, if a weighted blanket is placed over a 'normal' quilt will compression of the filling reduce the effective tog rating by any appreciable amount.

.... and here's me thinking Quantum Mechanics is difficult to understand .....:P

The carer just called me outside to see BAT! We've not seen bat in a while, but there it was, flitting in between the houses & over the common. We used to see 2 bat's years ago, big bat & little bat, clearly different species, but happy to fly round in each others company.... There's not been 2 in a good 3 years now. 😔

Thinking about it , not noticed our local bats this past year or so.
One got into the house once , and must have been inside for a couple of days before finally announcing it's presence when all the windows were shut & we were sat watching Corrie ( luckily didn't emerge from its hiding place the night before when we watched a vampire horror 😂)
Size of a big blackbird & going crazy zooming around the room with me screaming!

Son has a phobia of them ,after being told off by an official for screaming ,when a bat got inside his hoody front pocket thingy in Chester zoo bat cave. Apparently they'd been after the smell of the jam scones he'd been scoffing earlier , and then put his hands in his pockets.

The one on Friars terrace in town but I know they are not taking any new patients
That's a shame, its been recommended to me by 3 people now.

Suggestions anyone? I used to see the lovely Sikh (Im presuming this as he wore a turban) gentleman at Hillcrest, he was a very excellent dentist & the best I've had since Miss Suleman in church Lane went private (also very dishy, so distracting from dental problems), Hillcrest changed hands during covid and I believe he's no longer there.

Please don't suggest that butchers across from the police station, I had a horrible experience there....
