Mundane facts about your day: Part Deux.

Nice meet up of 9 of us from our Travel Lodge hotel for a lovely breakfast in Verso lounge , before all departing for various parts of UK.

Never been to Verso Lounge before , but the food and service was spot on!

Got the bug for nights out and mini holidays now...
I love Verso, and all of the lounge group places I have visited. The only issue, and I have said this before, is the service, although excellent, is very slow. It doesnt put me off as I am due to go there on Tuesday evening.

Had to have the budgie put down today because he was so weak and poorly. Heartbroken, of course - I've worked from home for the entire 12.5 years I had him so he's been a constant companion and was very tame with me.
God I've just had the most hysterical bout of crying I think I've had in the last month. Busy with work and then suddenly full on tears for 10 full minutes and I've not exactly stopped yet.

I know some other forum users have also either lost pets or had bad news recently, I've been a bit lost in my own grief to fully extend my condolences but I'd like to do so now.

This is hard, man. We'll all cope somehow.

I walk through the front door and wait to hear the thud of Boots jumping off my bed. He'd be in the kitchen before I'd got to the middle door. I'm still closing the door quickly in case he gets out. And it's so hard to wake up of a morning to find the bed empty.
I know it will get better, just a case of when xx

Have you used any of their larger Cosy Club venues ?
Are they the same group? Been to The Cosy Club in Worcester before.

Off to Millar & Carter tonight , if they have tables when we get there, otherwise might go to The Cosy Club more or less next door to it.

Then finish the night in The Paul Pry .

Yes, the same group.
I've only used the Bournemouth and Birmingham Cosy Clubs - open early and more civilised than Wetherspoons - the Worcester one not having any cask beer on the morning I went four years and three days ago.

Millar & Carter are one of the Mitchells and Butlers brands ;

Instead of starting diet today with planned salad at home for tea....in Millar & Carter treating ourselves to a 3 course special :D

After seeing a customer on Tesco floor with a blanket over them earlier 😭 , decided to enjoy ourselves while we can !
