Nearly had an unmarked police car taking out the side of my car! In 2 lanes of traffic approaching an island , I was in the left one to go left. Plain black estate was level with me all the way in the right hand lane , then suddenly started veering sideways over the white lines towards me . :o I got in the kerb as far as I could to avoid a bang, looked at them thinking WTF? 2 coppers in uniform.....they then swerve back into their lane and turn right.

Ollie just chewed the end off the only apple cable I had for my macbook. There are about 20 cables down there, it's the most expensive by far and the only one he touched.

I feel your pain. So far I've had the following chewed, all on the table:

A mouse, keyboard, quad head card adapter, docking Station, a Web cam... Do I need to go on?! It's getting to be such a large replacement bill that Ive now had to provide an empty room and remove all items that aren't dog toys. This includes the dog bed and toys with filling! Get a dog they said, it'll be fun they said haha

Dear Customer,
Congratulations on acquiring your new Border Collie.
Please find the instructions for your particular model listed below:
Although your Border Collie comes fully assembled, due to particular issues during production, we do occasionally have issues with components such as screws, and you may find they are either loose or missing altogether.
Mode 1: This is the sleep mode, activated for some of the day as the dog ages. This is normal and you should not worry about it, just accept the peace and quiet while you can.
Mode 2: Anarchy. Although we have tried to ease the effect of anarchy mode, it’s not always possible.
There are inherent issues with the timer settings of anarchy mode in regards to there being none.
Should your dog suddenly go from comatose to running around the walls, we cannot stop this feature.
Mode 3: Velcro. We believe somewhere in the assembly process someone installed an elite magnet that only is attracted to humans. We apologize in advance for the constant interruptions in the bathroom and any other place that requires privacy.
Naming: Your Border Collie comes untitled as we feel owners should use names of their own. If you are unsure, we have listed below a few names our owners like to use:
Did you do this?
You’re kidding me?
Give that back!
Don’t you dare!
Put that down!
Whyyyy?
Get that out of your mouth!
No, no, NO!!!!
Software: Your Border Collie is pre-installed with the highest software and hardware specifications.
This includes the 'loyalty chip', the 'love every one chip', the 'neurotic chip,' 'the fun chip' and, of course, the highly popular 'mayhem chip.'
They are all running on the WHATTHE****? operating system 2.2. Although this has been in circulation for many years, we have found it simply cannot be improved upon.
Options: The “I’m smarter than you” chip - may cause conflict depending on the owner.
The “Houdini” chip - can get out or into almost everything.
The Mk1 Sophie model contains the “You can’t make me do it Two Legs” feature.
Watch for the ‘eye roll’ and 'Look of contempt' feature, available on most models. Not to be confused with the ‘eye of repentance’ look which is optional.
Some models have the ‘Who me? get outta here!” look installed, this again varies by model.
Unit is not deaf despite all appearances or actions to the contrary.
Feel free to inform us of any other surprise bonus Modes that have popped up by contacting customer support at 1-800-poo-hole.
Thank you and enjoy your new Border Collie!
Sincerely,
Your Customer Support Team

Rocked up to work this morning, 06.30am, to be told I was on a late, not the early. Now I know my online rota said early, I checked it last night.
Got roped in to doing a bank shift as well as my late shift. I'm so tired I'd cry if I had the energy.

:help::help::help::help: Your expertise needed please.......:)

Does this mean I can't get off the M42 Northbound at Jct 6 and get to go left down the A45 to airport as planned later tonight ???

Or does it look like you can still get off at J6 , go to the actual island (and not the slip road part) and then left (west) down the A45 off the island towards airport ?

(If not, I'm stuffed! 😂 )

It's not clear from that - the talk of the 'fast slip' implies the slip road that doesn't enter the roundabout - but, then they say 'all lanes will be closed' - that could mean all lanes on the fast slip, or all the slip lanes.

It's a gamble, without accurate knowledge.

Looking at this after 8pm might help.

If it is blocked, you should be able to go up to the next functional junction and come back southwards, I would think, but it'll add a few miles and a bit of time.

Son said that as well , as should be starting off in plenty of time. Although scheduled roadworks all over the place up there tonight!
(Saying that there's 2 lanes closed most of the way up the M42 , so hoping for no tailbacks......been 90 minutes delays tonight south of Worcester J7 on Northbound M5 , but luckily we get on at J6 ..... )

Coming back again on my own could be fun , but there's no hurry then so I could end up anywhere if diverted off (once ended up in Wales on a diversion en-route back to Stafford. Satnav was playing silly-buggers. Hubby was working in Germany at the time , so unusual for me I didn't panic, as no-one was missing me.....just thought to myself the car doors are locked , I've got a tank full of petrol , visa cards, and if I reach the seaside I'll find a hotel for the night 😂 )

Or, off west at J5 - A41 - Damson Parkway - east onto A45.

The more direct B4438 may be shut.

Thanks. Will keep my eye on the gantry signs and jump off there if I have to. Says Jct4 will be closed completely, but can't see J5 exit mentioned as I flick through the many closures.

Just had a quick visit from son with one of my xmas presents early. 😂A holder for my phone that attaches to the dash . Got it set up for me so that I can see my phone satnav with the live traffic conditions , rather than just listening to it on my car seat.

It's bloody spooky out there on my own in the early hours. Scary outside my house, and only me and less than usual amount of lorries on the roads.
Sailed through to the airport no probs ,the scheduled closures around Jct6 weren't there. But might have beaten them to it , as still in the process of coning off & down to 1 lane on the way at 1am.
Back home safely with my cuppa and hubby hasn't even noticed I've gone or come back
