A mere 220 miles to the west, it has been 10 degrees most of the day - it's still 9.4 now, a stroll to the pub may happen.
Hope it picks up here soon, still snow, ice and black ice in front of our house, next doors car been written off again on the hursday by a car skidding on the corner, 2nd time in less than a year, thank goodness we sorted our drive and can get both cars on now.

I've been learning how to ask for gin & tonic in different languages (thank you Google translate)......just incase the need arises..it's pretty much English in every language!

Where I am, it has been a remarkably steady 9℃ for the last 48 hours, although it is dropping a little now.

The greenhouse windows even opened automatically for a while in the afternoon.

It's also very calm, which makes it feel even warmer.

Drs today, more tablets for high blood pressure that I'm already taking 3 different tablets for......they tried to sign me off work, not helpful when I'm already having a disciplinary for being signed off work with COVID.

Now, if they sent me to the Bahamas for 3 months I reckon that would de-stress me.

So, I decided to go to the second nearest acceptable pub tonight, even though it was rather foggy.

By the time I was half-way there, it was so foggy that I considered aborting the attempt, but, with the aid of the white line, I was able to complete the journey.

When I came back, it was a little clearer and the journey required a bit less concentration.

We are at the centre of a small area, about five miles in diameter, where the temperature has dropped to 1 to 2 degrees, whilst it's still 6 or 7 outside .

Just had the DPD update, It’s new air fryer day!!!!

We’ve had air fryers before, a tefal actifry that packed up after a year, a week out of warranty🙄we missed it when it broke and a few months later replaced it with the all singing and dancing updated tefal actfry with two years warranty, which broke within a month of the warranty ending. 🤦🏻‍♀️

No more tefal, we’re going for a Ninja now, and I’m a bit more excited than I probably should be. 🙈 🤣

We use the air fryer for most our cooking now. Only really use the oven for pizza or sunday roasts.

I have one that is shaped like a small oven and is multi function. It can be an oven, a fan oven, a grill, an air fryer a dehydrator or a rotisserie cooker. We used to have a Halo+ but I would never go back to that kind now. I only use the oven now if I've way too much to cook together to fit in the air fryer or it won't fit full stop.

Which one did you go for? We got a Ninja AF400 dual zone one just before Christmas. Good bit of kit, we find the synchronised cooking times feature is really useful.
Edit, really easy to clean as well.

Are any of them big enough for a greedy family of 3, we bought one last year and it was huge, but inside there was only enough room for 2 portions max....

I have the 7.5L dual Ninja. Its ok for us but we do fill them. If i was buying again I would get the bigger 1.

The standard dual zone Ninja can fit a medium Sainsbury chicken in one half. We then cook spuds in the other compartment and steam the veg for a quick roast dinner

Learned the hard way today that my new scooter has a lower board than the old one when I tried to go down a low curb I had gone down fine 100 times before. Landed on my head but luckily was wearing a helmet so my brain (and face) was saved, besides a bloody nose... I did break my left shoulder blade, though. 😫

Can't complain about A&E, was only in there for about 3 hours and everyone was lovely. And boy, do you feel like you've gotten to know someone when they have to undress you 3 minutes after meeting them because you can't do it yourself!

Hope you feel better soon & it's not your drawing arm/shoulder.
