Learned the hard way today that my new scooter has a lower board than the old one when I tried to go down a low curb I had gone down fine 100 times before. Landed on my head but luckily was wearing a helmet so my brain (and face) was saved, besides a bloody nose... I did break my left shoulder blade, though. 😫

Can't complain about A&E, was only in there for about 3 hours and everyone was lovely. And boy, do you feel like you've gotten to know someone when they have to undress you 3 minutes after meeting them because you can't do it yourself!
Hope you heal quickly and aren't in too much pain x

Blokes across the way here on the car park, looks like they're putting in electric hook ups. Without me glasses, they could be mistaken for the bottom of a urinal, or something out of War of the Worlds (Not the shitty remake either)

I think there's 2 electric charging points for taxis there....adding more?

I'm good for everything, thanks Glam 😊 I did a lot for my parents over the pandemic so they're returning the favour now.

Just been to the fracture clinic.
The doctor wasn't so worried about my broken shoulder blade as it's surrounded by muscle so should heal fine, however... It looks like my rotator cuff is the problem. He tried stretching my arm out and it was *so* painful in certain positions. I have to do exercises every hour and go back next week so he can examine it again.

On the plus side, I managed to put my own button-up shirt on just now.

Hope you're better soon and it's not too painful.

I broke my shoulder in 2021 so I appreciate your pain and what you're going through.

Let me know if you need a hand with anything.

One of my physios recommended that I buy my fizzy drinks from Aldi.

When I asked why she said because they stack them at just the right height and are just the right weight to do my shoulder physio exercises 😂

As @proactive has said keeping up with the exercises is crucial as it doesn't take much to stop your joints from fully moving after breaking them.

It's been so warm where I am for the last few days that the midges have declared a start to the season.

They're fairly well-behaved chaps, they just mill about in the middle of the lawn and don't hassle me at all.

I took a similar picture last year, but on the 16th of February...

PHEW!!!! Had a bit of luck for a change ! Severn Trent turned up 7am to dig for our water leak and been here over 3 hours and still filling the crater in. Found the massive leak was on the pipes under the ground which they :banana:are responsible for . Loads of new pipes and boxes fitted , new meter put in and now no movement on it (was showing losing 576 ltrs a day before) , leak's fixed and we haven't got to find ££££'s which we were dreading.

Taking son out to Millar & Carter for their special offer tonight to celebrate :D

These are against the wall, on the right as you drive into the car park, but facing towards the Doxey Road. (I know what I mean, just really tired right now!)
Right, these are charging points, as youngest says - ''the cheapie council version of the petrol pump types that are already on the car park.''
There's 2 charging bits to each 'urinal bottom' and there's quite a few of them.

Here's my recovery look: loose PJ bottoms that slip on and off and button-up shirts rather than tees so that the arms are easier to access... I look like the smartest person at a slumber party.
That reminds me that I had to buy a "casual" short sleeved shirt that I could actually put on with limited shoulder movement for @tek-monkey's wedding do.

Only to find a certain knobber from the Bird was wearing the exact same shirt for his birthday do.

Had to go shopping again and ended up buying a very much more expensive shirt from M&S instead ,😂

When minime broke her arm, we cut the straps off vest tops, and replaced them with ribbons to tie at the top

Ventured into the new build at the top of Beaconside today…

My god the roads are ruined there. There’s lumps of tarmac outside driveways and all sorts. I can’t imagine buying a shiny new house and having that.
