Mundane facts about your day: Part Deux.

Depends which flavour of bible-bashers they were but telling them you are either Roman Catholic or Baptist usually gets rid of them.
On being approached by two of them ( it's always two ) as I walked into town a few years ago I said that no coffee, no beer and more than one wife wasn't for me and they willingly accepted that.
They probably mean well.

Telling them you are a Satanist and asking if they are that day's sacrifice will probably have more of an effect.
I used to tell them I worshipped the devil when a 'well known ' came round
. Then when my boss became one , I hid & pretended not to be in when I saw her & co coming down the road 😂

Luckily had a quick look at the Worcester News site, whilst waiting for hubby to nip to the loo , before setting off on our planned walk to the canal and woods by us at sixways....... live police incident there at the moment with bomb squad despatched. :o

One of the comments...... 'bomb squad on their way. Just had to slip the police cordon to recover our car. All the nearby properties having to be evacuated, and owners of nearby livestock being contacted to get their animals moved. '

😂

I'm having a flutter ( well, son is doing it for me as I gave no idea how to) for the first time ever , as son is going to Cheltenham races with his mates on Tuesday. Only a couple of quid though , not risking much 😁
Just chose the names that jumped out at me, so feel sorry for those horses now as probably put the StaffordJas curse on them...

It was an unexploded bomb found from in the canal by us earlier. I walked past there with the walking group on Tuesday as well.

At least my contractors didn't find one of them under the lawn whilst digging for my pipes. ( Just plunged 90+ houses into darkness for hours instead )

Just hoping for a nice straightforward 'loo repair' tomorrow night with no dramas....

Shall I bulk buy the pop corn and ice cream now? Can't wait to see how that pans out ;)

An 'unexploded bomb' is a bomb.

An 'exploded bomb' is not a bomb any more.

Actually had a good day today . Zumba class went well with new :heyhey: instructor.
2nd Conservatory blinds bloke turned up to quote , and hubby didn't scare this one off.
Then plumber turned up , fixed loo and re-assembled units that he had to take apart to look like new again with no drama . (Been told not to touch it until tomorrow to let silicone set properly , so hopefully still works tomorrow....)

And found out hubby doesn't know what I look like after 44 years.... pointed me out on a zumba photo of a session in Evesham today
Swore blind it was me until I showed him me on an actual photo of our Worcester group today. 😂

Done a first for me ...been to a pub and had a Latte (Had to order a latte , I don't usually go out for coffee so it's the only one I knew !) Didn't think knocking pints of cider back late morning would make a good impression on my new zumba/walking group friends. 😂

I don't believe it ! 😭 My horse fell and didn't get up for ages 😭, but thankfully was seen walking ok back to the stables in the end and winded.

Wish I hadn't backed any now with my track record.

Definitely won't be going to Worcester races any time , too much worrying about the safety of the horses!

Saw the air ambulance hovering over by us this morning........ If you know anyone due to travel northbound up the M5 it's been closed all day at Worcester for a fatality 😭 by J6 and still closed now with big delays.

Going to Birmingham in a few hours solely so that I can catch a later train than is available from Stafford to Wolverhampton for a gig, then dad has kindly offered to pick me up afterwards as there are no late trains back and the tolerable hotels are unusually expensive today. Normally I would probably skip it as it's a lot of faff but this is one of the only gigs I've managed to get into the disabled area for so determined to make it!

EDIT: the reason I'm not just going to Wolves earlier is I have more indoor places I can go in B'ham, as I won't be dressed for the cold

I'm in Birmingham later too so driving in. I have a night out on the 30th where I'm staying over, but I'm not going to be in a fit state to drive the next day so I hope they cancel the strikes.
