Looked at my work schedule for tomorrow, me & 1 other person till 9.30am (2 & 1/2hrs), only 3 others in before I leave, and no one for me to hand over to. No one. ! No one! Then only 3 staff. 😔😔😔😔😔

*Edit
Hoping for a miracle.

** Wishing I didn't have to get up at 5.30am

**Maybe I should 'forget to set my alarm'.....

Dropped my new phone into the toilet pre-flush this morning, how's your day going?

Luckily it was a supplemental visit and not the big morning toilet so it wasn't like King Arthur pulling the sword out of the stone or anything.

I admire your optimism.
I am less prone to the early morning start than you might be, so I expect to survive this decision.

Gripped by the fervour, I have also taken the handle off the snow shovel, to make its summer storage more efficient - although, this does stay in the house. Digging your way to the Shed to get the thing you want to dig your way to the Shed with is a mistake that I aim to avoid making again.

Had a VERY muddy walk discovering pastures new to me with the Worcester health walks group. Even the leader was slipping and sliding trying to get up the bank at one boggy point, so made it worth investing in my really good walking boots as I stayed upright ! Followed by a chat over a bargain cuppa and a Yorkie bar back at the community hub for just 30p (I'd been expecting a plain cheapo biscuit , not a choice from about 10 different chocolate bars :D )

At least todays walk wasn't through the cow fields..got that daunting experience still to come on friday .... 🤣

Best thing I did that day a few weeks ago being brave enough to pop in and see what's on , and then even braver walking into the zumba class that first day. Never had such a good social life while hubby is slaving away in his office 😂 , everyone is so friendly and making lots of new friends .

FINALLY some good news on the water saga !!!
Received text today saying ST engineer had visited yesterday (with a satisfaction survey for us to complete).
Rang the ST team threatening legal action to say someone was at home all day and unaware ST had actually been , and was is it to check our repair work? .
Apparently pipework and meter was inspected (without ringing doorbell as classed as a 'cold call' ) , no pipe leakage / meter movement found during their checks , so letter on it's way to say all ok and legal case against us been closed . Yay, hallelujah!

I remember someone, possibly Graeme Garden, returning an uncompleted survey form.

"I was unable to complete your survey as I couldn't find the box to tick for "buttockclenchingly piss-poor".

It wouldn't let me skip the 0-10 rating for yesterdays engineer as we didn't even know he was due , been & gone. After ticking the 'no' box on did he ring beforehand, come on time, couteous, inform of work carried out, informing me of procedures etc etc etc he/she got a big fat 0 to get past that last page.
Probably get another survey now...why did you tick 0 ?

Been to a local book club tonight for the first time, pretty terrifying walking into a room full of strangers on your own but glad I went as they're a nice bunch.
That's good. Know that feeling well having recently walked into a room full of strangers myself . (I was absolutely terrified, but one of best things I've ever done ) Glad you've also got a nice bunch there :)

Good, taking a leaf out of @staffordjas book! Well done.

I've lived here 28 years and still know very little 'actual' people...I have lots of work friends (lots) & lots of aqquaintences..... But still...there's still a space...well done you both!

I've lived in Stafford 41yrs, and it's only in the last, I want to say 5 years max, that I've really made any proper friends. And that's all due to the power of Stafford Forum.

Stafford people are very hard to get to know. Where I've lived previously everyone has been a lot more friendly, people chatted at bus stops, in shops, everywhere.....everyone keeps to themselves here.
