(Jeez she's a pisshead. AND I THOUGHT ROSE STREET WAS BAD … !!!) :pint::teef:
Once woke up (still wearing my boots  )with one of those guiness signs off the bar in my bedroom. Couldn't work out if I was still in the pub or not . Never did find out which pub it went walkies from (might have even found it on my walk home....)

Of course I'm not like that nowadays ;) .

BUT...Looking forwards to a rare night out in town tomorrow night. :banana:An unofficial leaving do 'meet up'after the firm pulled the plug after 30 years of hubby working there ! :( (luckily he's not one of those made redundant, he's been transferred to the company that's now taken on the work).

Tuesday night was the ward annual Christmas piss up. Off we all tootle to Manchester, we had booked a 'do' at Manchester Central, but they cancelled cos not enough had booked. Place apparently holds 2.000, but only 300 had wanted go. And because we'd all booked our hotel (Premier) on a no refund basis (cheaper), we decided go and make the most of it. Cut a long boring story short, we ended up in a gay bar down Canal Street, Jesus Christ what a dive! Pigging expensive for drinks. I swear the unisex loos were based on the old ones up by the Common, they hadn't been cleaned for years by the look and smell of them.
Why do people rave about Canal Street? If I never go again it'll be too late.
Next year, it'll be a few pints in Spoons followed by cheesey chips from the Windmill!

Glam … the only Canal Street I've ever visited was in Amsterdam … although I'd have to say it's not really a place for Christmas do's.

I think you're future plans are spot on.

(I've got a serious downer on Manchester anyway as in 1990 my 11 month old Suzuki GSXR1100K (bought at Cyril Chells) was stolen there, and if I'd had a NUKE button, there would be an enormous hole where that city is now. :P)

It's a dive babb, if we go again, which i'm doubting, then i'll pay full wack for the room and get my money back if I decide not go.
£70, for a cold bedroom, lumpy bed and pillows. Was glad get home.

Was at Bilash last night, without a car @Glam and I kept the noise down when I left. I ended up at Hogarths and drank like it's Friday and that's why I will be regretting my decisions today.
And we, the neighbours thank you for that. I wish half the other Patrons were the same. As for the car, They have at least 4 of the resident paid for permit spaces taken up with staff cars. Can't be arsed to park on Sainsburys and walk the 2 minutes it takes.

Whilst I sympathise with the residents' position aren't the permit spaces around Simply Bilash from 8am to 6pm only?

If so and they are parking after 6pm or have permits then I think they would be legally parked, whereas they would need to pay on Sainsbury's wouldn't they?

Yes, that's correct, and personally I believe they should be 24hr residents only. Sometimes I finish at 20.30, getting home around 20.40. Quite often I'm not in work till 12.30 the next day, or it's my day off. I've had to park on Sainsburys because all permit spaces are taken, then, have to get up early hours to move my car and hopefully find somewhere, or pay for a ticket.
But why should I do that when I already pay almost £50 a year for my permit?

Don't forget, overnight & Sunday parking charges come into effect on the car park from 1/1/2020

Fair point.

You could always order a fictitious delivery far away so they would have to move one of their cars :)

Did my usual Friday morning food shop this morning and all of the shops were rammed.

Shoppers in Asda were cramming food with use by dates before Christmas into their trolleys as if a food shortage had broken out.

Traffic in town is a complete nightmare as well.

Don't think I should have booked tonights taxi days ago now, ready for our big night out in town. Hubby announced this morning that he's going to the footie tomorrow, so not drinking much and just popping in to say a quick goodbye to everyone. I might as well drive down there and have a lemonade .....if I can find a parking space anywhere :hmm:

So if you see someone staggering from bar to bar , it won't be me ;)

Son was shocked when he went into the big Tesco by him in Worcester yesterday for his normal food shop , which he normally nips in and out quickly for. Took him an hour to get round the shop for his few items and back out again, as it was rammed and said everyones bills at check-outs in front of him were in the hundreds of £££s.

Oh and whilst shopping I decided that, except for close family Christmas cards, I will donate a similar amount to charity again this year instead of sending cards.
Have you any idea how many times I've thought of this?!

Do it, you know you want to :)

So the RNLI will be receiving a small monthly donation for next year.

Just finished icing the last 3 Christmas cakes, (I made 9 cakes this year).
Cheated with ready to roll icing.
I made the decorations with coloured icing and some cutters that I bought the other year from The Range.
I’m quite pleased with my efforts.
