If it goes brown it's either in too much sun or needs some water. I also have one that makes lots of babies. I keep repotting them with the intention to sell and forget, so now I have at least 20.

Hmm it looks a bit pale, it's in a North facing room so I guess I should probably move it & water it then.

I'm absoloutly useless at looking after house plants, garden plants no problem, houseplants = kiss of death. For mothers day I received yet another orchid..... Have these kids seriously not realised that I've killed every single one they've bought me???? The only thing that survives is my money tree, and its babies, it's indestructible.

Same here!

I complained to the husband that a house plant looked a little dry.

He pointed out that I hadn't actually watered a single plant in the house for two years...

He had quietly stepped up and taken on the responsibility...

When we fail half of the people in the way that we ordinarily talk, BS terms like 'woke brigade' do not serve anybody anywhere with anything.

Maybe you oldies could take some time to reflect.

You are a f**king disgrace to the ideals you began with.

If you're hanging on to a rising balloon, you're presented with a difficult decision - let go before it's too late or hang on and keep getting higher, posing the question: how long can you keep a grip on the rope?

They're selling hippie wigs in Woolworth's, man. The greatest decade in the history of mankind is over. And as Presuming Ed here has so consistently pointed out, we have failed to paint it black.

Yesterday morning I received a text from Stafford Health and Wellbeing advising that I could pop up to County Showground for my first half of the vaccination yesterday between 2 and 5. So I did. Very well organised and over quickly. They must be working on 50 year olds.

I think you’re referring to me here relating to something I posted on another thread. As I said, it’s my turn to be got at this week with your middle of the night ramblings.

Personally I find it quite rude that someone should constantly think they are so morally and intellectually superior that they find it acceptable to constantly pick on people or find it acceptable to correct their grammar or spelling.
How is it right to make others feel small? Are you happy with that? Are you happy with yourself?
Is it ok to be intolerant to other people’s thoughts or opinions?

Someone on here is “a f**cking” disgrace, but I’m quite sure it isn’t me.

Just a simple 'piss off' would have done the trick. He does not deserve any more time than that spent on him.

I prefer to ignore him & make allowances. He possibly doesn’t realise his behaviour is inappropriate. We are permanent full time carers for an autistic late teenager ( trying not to give to much away). He also spends lots of time awake through the night & if we didn’t limit his time online there could be a lot of similarities. Inappropriate social interaction like this is a “symptom” of autism

I think I must have missed something that appears to be escalating quickly.

@Withnail it seems you have said something or some things that have caused offence and/or upset. I can’t speak for everyone but I like it much more here without the drama and nastiness there used to be quite a lot of.

Maybe we all (myself included) use this as a reminder that it wouldn’t hurt to think a little more about how the things we say or write can be perceived even if no offence was intended.

I have no issue with a good debate or difference of opinion but the personal stuff and nastiness without cause spoils everyone’s enjoyment.

I can't but help see the irony in the 3 people I ignore having the above conversation. I ignore all of you for the exact reasons you are complaining about re Withnail. Every one of you have done it to me hence my use of the ignore function. Pot and kettle much :(

Not you @Bob!

But you're not ignoring them by posting your post.

Isn't that ironic as Alanis might say? :)

I deliberately used the unignore button to see what Bob was referring to, but I do ignore them. Anyone who is personal about me gets the ignore treatment. Discuss the post not the poster!

I’m not ignoring anyone though it would have been a useful option when Henrycat used to kick off about something or other every three minutes.

Pretty good day today, jet washed the blue and brown bins, sorted a bit of fencing, bleached the block paving (shit loads of it) and cleaned my car. Down side is Mrs T wants her car cleaning now.

Not that I know anything about anything, but having been a member of the forum for a long time I know @Withnail can be great fun!

Many laughs have been had and it's been a pleasure to meet him on occasion!

We all must remember that lockdown and the pandemic has been hard on us all, and we have coped in different ways.

It's obvious sleep doesn't come as easy to some as others, and things can come across different via text.

I'm not taking one side or another but I urge you ALL to be kind to one another xxx
